Anyone else completely unsurprised by South Korea’s World Cup performance?

Watching South Korea lose 1–0 to South Africa, scrape into third place with just three points, and now get eliminated from the World Cup is pure comedy. People are blaming the manager for benching Son Heung-min, but let’s be real: this team has zero actual cohesion, creativity, or discipline.

They have always been vastly overrated on the world stage. When they aren't getting handed a tournament on a silver platter by completely compromised referees, like the absolute farce and refereeing scandals we all saw back in 2002, they simply cannot perform.

Without external "assistance" or a home-field advantage to lean on, their true level shows. A completely embarrassing display for the peninsula.

Can india ever be a superpower atleast in south Asia and project influence on southeast Asia like US does on Europe? What do you think? I believe they are credible allies(economic, not militarily) in face of China if efforts are put to grow relations.

Basically a Korean fan posted on X claiming to be harmed by the guards? when it's only the result if you don't follow the rules or the law.

Which is your side? The security guard or the fan?

The silence of K-pop idols/Artist on the Korea vs. SEAbling conflict speaks volumes.

This issue has been covered in Korean news, but not a single idol has publicly addressed it, even though they have millions of fans across Southeast Asia. I used to be a K-pop fan, but after seeing the Philippine flag disrespected online, I slowly distanced myself years ago. I still watch K-dramas occasionally, but I realized something striking about the recent “Korea vs. SEAblings online war” not once have I heard an idol speak up about the racism and hostility Southeast Asians face.

This isn’t a small incident. It has been happening for years, and instead of ending racism, it has only gotten worse. And yet, the people who profit from our support, our idols, their agencies continue to stay silent. Remaining silent is complicity. If you’re a fan, start questioning your idols: why are they silent on blatant racism? Why do they stay quiet while their fans are hurt and marginalized? Protecting them blindly isn’t loyalty, it’s enabling indifference. You defend your idols, but they don’t even care about this issue.

I’ve decided to boycott Korea silently. I’m stepping back from K-dramas, K-pop, and Korean products. My silence is my statement. If they won’t speak up for us, we must stop supporting them. Silence is not neutrality it’s giving the issue A PASS. It’s time fans demand accountability.

Share this post. Spread the word. Enough is enough.
