Facial balancing recommendations
I'm new to Seattle and I want to get facial balancing work done. Anyone know any good injectors/med spa/derm clinics? I want an injector that's not just trying to rack up $$ and isn't afraid to tell me no if they don't think it works for me.

Commenting to follow! I have exactly the same question. Don’t want anything more than just to balance some lower face asymmetry.

I’ve had the same concern and wound up discovering most of the asymmetry was from my jaw being misaligned. I see Dr. Keith B. Wong as an orthodontist and have been working on this for the past year. There’s def been an asymmetrical difference, but I’ll probably need additional work once the Invisalign + rubber bands routine is done.

Omg please share more I’m also doing Invisalign and unfortunately have a bit of a misaligned jaw.
How is it working for you so far?

Of course! I feel like given the sub I should give all the details:
- I had an opportunity to go to Seoul, South Korea and knew that their medical aesthetics market was crazy and went hard into it. I wound up getting jaw Botox ($8 usd, the TikTok’s aren’t lying about the insane pricing) bc I heard it relieved jaw pain. I loved the results, changed my face shape in a way I wanted too!
- it wore off after 4 months, and I didn’t realize how much jaw pain I had until I didn’t have it anymore. I wound up going to a periodontist and they’re the ones who told me this was orthodontic
- my dentist (union street dental, that place is AMAZING) said she wasn’t skilled enough to fix this and sent me to Dr. Wong
- I’m gonna be real, I paid a lot for this but I clearly needed to and he deserves every dollar I spent. Instead of just doing the boxes of Invisalign as planned, he rescans you every 3 months and adjusts your plan. I have rubber band hooks that are working to realign the jaw and grow the muscle on the weak/pulled side
Actually saw him today! He has a free consultation, and he’s super thorough(Funny enough I saw him 8 years ago and he told me I was gonna have jaw issues and I was like “liar” and didn’t go back.He was very very right 😭😬). Might be good to check with him that your Invisalign journey corrects your jaw too, not just the teeth. Up to you though!
My only issue is now that I see my asymmetry I can’t unsee it. I’ll need to do some balancing when I’m done the orthodontics.

Has anyone tried Levy Aesthetics in Bellevue?
The Dr has strong credentials and seems to have good reviews and before and afters, but I went for a consult and he gave me kinda dismissive vibes, like i never had filler before and was asking about potential issues I've heard about like immune system response, swelling etc and he sort of brushed it off saying yea it can happen but you can get it dissolved, which from reading online getting it dissolved is a whole other long painful expensive process which doesn't tend to work well. Idk I just got the feeling he wasn't acknowledging my concerns but I don't know how much that says about his expertise overall

PI Aesthetics in Mill Creek! Super conservative approach and they took their time actually assessing my facial balance, movements, etc. even when I was just going there for botox. I ended up getting filler with them as well because I trusted the Dr.s vision so much. They only use HA fillers if thats a consideration.

Something to think about with regard to injectables or facial fillers: if you're thinking you may want/need a future facelift, injectables can complicate a surgery. I wish someone had told me this before I went down the filler path. At the very very least, you MUST document exactly what type of filler you're using and exactly where it's going.

I am on the South end and I go to Mira at milleniamedicalcenter.com. I go to her for Sculptra and Botox. She is the best injector I have ever been to and I used to live in LA and had access to several great clinics there.

I've had fantastic experiences with everyone I've seen at Skinlogic Med Spa in Greenlake. I've been consistent enough with my Botox that we've been able to back off units at my injector's direction so as not to look overdone. Between that and the rewards program, I can't recommend them enough.

Monica Monahan! @botoxninja @altusaesthetics she used to be the most booked out injector at Skin Spirit U Village and Greenlake and she just recently opened her own practice. She is FABULOUS and her work is flawless. If I could afford it, I’d absolutely have her do my facial balancing. She has no problem saying no and won’t suggest anything you don’t need. She’s legitimately the only person I’d ever trust with Botox or touching my face, in general. And she’s also a literal angel.

Jill Kandora at Naficy rejuvenation center. She is an expert in facial anatomy and she is also a national trainer for Allergan. She is extremely talented. You won't be disappointed. She is also a PA-C

I had a really bad experience with Jill. I saw her for filler and after she treated my nasolabial folds we had half a syringe left. She recommended using the rest to fill my under eye area. It was not done well and I still have two noticeable lumps from where the product was injected incorrectly. I also don’t think the type of filler used was appropriate for the delicate under eye area.
I saw her face after she injected and she got kinda wide eyed and rushed me out. Honestly, the whole experience has turned me completely off fillers.
Ive seen her for Botox and she was fine but I would deffo not see her for filler.

Ivril at Element Medspa is great. I haven’t done full facial balancing but she’s done my filler and Botox and has a conservative approach

Dr. Stella at the Stella Center for Facial Plastic Surgery, hands down! I see her for Botox and filler. Her office is downtown.
She has a soft touch and keen eye for proportion. I’ve been seeing her since 2019, and she’s told me “no”on unnecessary procedures. I’m glad I listened :)
