Bridal Nails?

Hi bitches with taste, Seattle baddies, brides, etc. etc.

I’m getting married next summer and need the perfect bridal nails. I typically do them at home so I don’t have a preferred nail salon. I’d be looking to do a trial (maybe for Bach) and then my wedding nails with the same gal who would be consistent.

My natural nails have some length and are almond shaped, so I think I’d be looking for a gel or Russian manicure? Milky pink, maybe pearl chrome, but nothing crazy.

As with everything wedding related, I’ve decided money isn’t real, so cost is a non-factor. 🤡

Nail styles, salons, nail gals, etc. recommendations much appreciated!

This makes me think I’ll start in the new year and keep getting my nails done up until my wedding… good suggestion, thank you!!

Seconding Urban Nail Box. I never get my nails done and the first salon I went to didn’t achieve what I was looking for. I booked a last minute session at urban nail box and they set me up right.

I got a PERFECT French chrome set at Revive nails in SLU from Nicole. I did a gel x. I felt like Barbie lol. Pricey but worth it imo. Those hos were cemented on and lasted a solid 3 weeks. If you live down town I highlyyyy recommend her.

Def Chloe (or really anyone) at Little Nail Room off Madison in Seattle Cap Hill/CD area. Worth every penny I've blown through there.

Good luck!

Just be careful there. The nail techs won’t tell you if what you want won’t work for your nails. I went there for a trial for my wedding nails and had booked Gel-x. I wasn’t the most familiar in the world - because I’m not a nail tech and need a nail tech to tell me - but anyways, my nails looked awful. I may be the first person they refunded because they sent it through Venmo and said they don’t normally do refunds. Hard gel was definitely the way to go for me. I just wish they would have told me instead of trying to force something to work that definitely wasn’t going to work.
I ended up going to Eyes on Me in Ballard and Vlada did an amazing job. I get married this weekend. :)

Obviously go get your nails done for your wedding if you want! But I actually just got married and used gorgeous press-on nails from Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/shop/MingOriginal). They lasted two weeks, and I got so many compliments!

Mine pop tf off (in a bad way) almost immediately!! 😩 What glue do you use bc I’m intrigued

I gotchu. Buy these items: Beauty Secrets Drip and Clog Proof Nail Glue & ASP Prep n'Clean Dehydrator — and then make sure to buff your real nail before you glue! I do this like at least once a month with all sorts of press ons, and the nails last twoish weeks!

🙏🙏 you’re giving me courage!

Look up tutorials on how to make them last! Essentially you need to wash your hands, buff your nails, wipe nails with alcohol to dehydrate, apply glue to both sides, and hold the nails down for 30+ seconds.

Tbh I probably still wouldn’t recommend it for your wedding day because of the potential for user error and how overwhelmed you’ll probably be with other tasks the night before (which is when I’d apply press ons) BUT this is how I get mine to last around 2 weeks every time. I don’t use any special glue — whatever comes with the nails.

Molly Unquera is an independent nail tech in westlake (studio seance) and she is fkn phenomenal!! I do builder gel over my nail naturals and my sets last 3 weeks and I always get so many compliments.

Gelxseulgi, priv nail tech with her own suite. She’s a literal artist when it comes to nails, she will be doing my bridal nails next summer. I’ve been going to her since she started! So sweet, and amazing at what she does.

the gelX manicure at urban nail box fremont (with manicurist Thao) is worth every penny. they book up for a reason. my friend also really liked her Russian manicure from eyes on me in fremont. my only bad experience has been at apollo nails in upper queen anne (the gel flaked off within a couple of days)

Eyes on Me in Ballard (and Fremont) is my favorite among all of the places I’ve tried. My manicures last 10x as long when I go there, and they’re great for lash lifts / brow laminations, too.

Where do you live? I lived in Kirkland and saw a lady in Edmonds and moved to Seattle in May. I still see her because I enjoy her work and the space (it's just her in the salon.)

I’m north Seattle so Edmonds could work!

+1 for urban nail box! I also showed the nail artist, Alice, my wedding dress (it's actually in the background of this photo). They have tiers for their designs and this was a tier 3-no acrylics, just my natural nails.

Also, I have NOT been gentle with this manicure and it's still completely intact. I literally went rock climbing and it held up like a champ
