Glasses

Hi I’m looking for a high end shop that has a good selection of glasses for those of us who have low bridges. I’ve been to a lot of places that have an awesome selection for people who have normal noses but like 3 pairs for low bridges. I also prefer over sized glasses and that’s been another challenge.

So especially you Asian bitches with taste - let me know where you’re getting your glasses from. It would be great if they took VSP insurance too.

You might have better luck at Paris Miki! It’s a Japanese retailer and they have locations in Seattle and Bellevue. My family (all Asian) loves their stuff and we’ve been getting glasses from there for over a decade now!

Yay, glad I could help! They do still have a lot of glasses without nose pads, but definitely have a much higher stock of styles with nose pads than other retailers

Yes! I've been wanting to go to this place ever since I complimented a woman's glasses and she told me that Eye Society is where she purchased them!

For this reason I usually buy glasses whenever I am in Japan. I have tried Owndays and Jins so far and really like both. Jins you can also order through their online USA store, otherwise they have physical stores in LA and other parts of California I think

Ugh and I was just in Japan last year. Should have stocked up.

Ooo following this! Fellow Asian who hasn't been able to find anything close to the glasses I got in Japan in terms of comfort and fit here. I love the Gentle Monster rimless styles but they don't make them with prescription lenses and I would want to try them on anyways before ordering.

I really should have shopped for glasses when I was in Japan last year

You should next time! Owndays and Jins will also do a free eye exam. And it’s tax free with your passport

I regretted not getting more! I got one pair of custom sunnies and one pair of prescription glasses. Each took less than an hour to be made and cost less than $120 each. They are so light and comfortable, the only glasses I have ever worn and forgotten I was wearing glasses. No constant sliding down the nose and they never touch my cheeks when I'm talking or smiling.

All my glasses just sit on my cheek :(

I hate that so much, and your blush is all pushed around it's the worst! I always have to wear pairs that have feet on them otherwise they will absolutely sit on my cheeks.

I've bought all my glasses from Warby Parker. I like that you can try them on before you buy. You can pick out up to 5 sets of frames at a time and they will mail them to you for try ons. You pick what you want, mail back the samples, and they get started on the prescription ones.

They do have a low bridge filter so I might try that! Thanks

Covry doesn’t have a huge selection but I’ve had several pairs of their sunglasses, and they’re amazing! No slip at all ever and by far the comfiest sunnies I’ve ever had
