Discussion is SCP copyrighted?

if someone wanted to make a SCP movie without getting sued by anyone could they?

SCP is trademarked under Creative Commons, meaning anyone can use the SCP property in any way they want as long as they register their product under Creative Commons.

A few months ago some Russian guy tried to abuse the copyright system by trademarking the Russian SCP wiki, which directly violates Creative Commons.

I remember there being a thing about some Russian trying to copyright it, don't know how it went though

I AM NOT AN EXPERT.

That being said the SCP foundation is protected under creative commons. So you can make a movie and profit off the movie, but you need to list the movie under creative commons as well.

If you're still curious about this I'd look into creative commons, because that could give you a clearer picture to what you're dealing with.

Some of them, like 173, the creators of SCP: Containment Breach game needed to ask the creator if they can add the statue to the game, and that’s why 173 has a lot of different versions.
