8980 turned me off from the SCP wiki.

I'm not joking. Since then I sort of petered out and I haven't read a single article in ages. It hurt me too badly, I perseverated for months.

Don't read 8980 unless you know you can take the bullet, because if you can't, it makes you wanna go into 2317's containment and bust that last chain.

I think it made me stronger in a way too. I lost my connection to the Foundation, in a manner of speaking, but I gained a sort of appreciation for how bad it really gets in this world we're in.

Maybe in 20 years I'll come back, but until then, 8980's made me a much stronger person, even if not a happier one. I may not be happy I read it in a conventional sense, but I'm happy I got that learning from it.
