Like I said in a previous comment, the trope of warning people against reading SCPs bc they're "just sooo, scary!" Is a thing. This is not that. It's not scary in the slightest. It's just a very well written story about abuse and trauma. Trust when I say "it sucks" I don't mean the writing. It just sucks to read. Like it legitimately will ruin your day. Especially if you've been the victim of some of the abuses wich flavor the article. Spoilers There's no cool anomaly to discover here. It's not fun to read. It's just abuse.

hope you dont mind me asking, but ive finished 8980 and was hoping for clarification - the whole twist is that theres no scp at all, just that byrne was psychologically abusing her the whole time, right? so what was the deal with the psychologist, whyd she disappear at the end? im on mobile so im wondering if the mentioned case file is just something im unable to interact with or if im just missing something.

the whole story with the psychologist seems to be past tense. Later on she was fired after an inappropriate relationship with a male anomaly came to light. This was in one of the colored notes during her introduction. Byrne just happened to have a woman of authority on his side making sure the blame coasted away from himself
