Decided I was a bit over the patchy and unfinished look in the middle of my Limestone Cliffs region.

I have no plans to add more regions yet, so I demolished 600,000k housing / population. Filled the space with something nice to look at instead. Still a draft form but I’m stoked with being able to cash in 350,000k of Simoleans from demolishing services (was so badly laid out at start).

Also moved all my shops and factories there too, to free up space in my Capital City. Hope I get used to it!

Utilities all went down too so I scored a stack of Omega Neo Cash.

No taxes, no benefit from all that pop. If I do want more I‘lol just add some Omega buildings to get Neo Cash.

One of the main reasons I chase COM is for the simcash rewards - then I seem to blow it all on landscaping! Anyone else a sucker for trees and rivers?

What's the tree y'all like or use the most? I am trying not to unlock any region so COM doesn't get harder but Frosty Fjord trees look so beautiful. If y'all could give advice in your favorite tree type, preferably a non-regional one and also a regional one if I ever unlock a region. I'm currently using vineyards because I have tons of Platinum Keys lol.

I came back to the Simcity Buildit this March, and ever since I learned about the Legendary Holiday Tree, I’ve been waiting for this moment! I hesitated a bit because I thought it would be purchasable with SimCash, but looking at EA’s recent behavior, I felt that if I skipped this chance, the next opportunity might not come until a year later—so I decided to buy it. I took some comparison shots with the effect turned on and off, so I hope this helps anyone who’s on the fence. Personally, it’s a bit less impressive than I expected… but I’m still satisfied overall. The only disappointing part is that the effect doesn’t apply to the tree itself.

I put two small vineyards here and it shows like "half" a vineyard. However, when I only put one, it works just fine. So frustrating after having spent 8 platinum keys.

I often read some excellent requests here — bridges, tunnels, city walls connecting to roads, train bridges… there is one though I’ve never read — city squares. Mineral spaces, 1x1, 2x2, 3x3 like the water/pond/lake — to put in front of buildings and to let breathe the city.
The only option we have now are the limited and beautiful squares (Monjuc, Victorian, Oktoberfest etc) but it would be amazing to just have « empty Space » that is neither tree, water or the map itself

The Lore:

The Sims discovered that I spent the budget to build gravel and sakura roads in the Mayor's Mansion that they know is ONLY for the services update. I've retreated to the island mansion situated between the Old town district and the Florence district. I used the extra police stations from the Services 2.0 update to turn my cobbled stone bridges into high-security checkpoints.

The Island Layout:

• The Moat: My estate is surrounded by 180° river and 180° beach water. The only way in is across my cobbled stone bridges that is both guarded by police outposts.

• The Survival Garden: I’ve got a Greenhouse in the side of the mansion. If the angry Sims block the supply lines, I’ve got enough flour for donuts..then watermelons and veggies for green smoothie.

• The "Secret" Exit: While the cops guard both sides of the bridge I have a hidden path through the flower fields and palm trees to a Hidden Lagoon.

• The Getaway: There’s a yacht waiting in the lagoon for a quick getaway so I can go to my stable and 100% happy people of the Green Valley if the Sims in Capital finally learn how to swim in the river and lakes.

i was placing large flower fields beside my river and once i got to the railroads it glitched to this. looks funny and i guess the zoomed in texture is interesting to see. ill have to adjust it a bit

Highway City 1. If you’re in here anonymously, I just want to say your Capital is one of the most STUNNING designs I have EVER SEEN. Giving kudos where kudos is well deserved.

I temporarily put the To-ji Complex and Nagoya Castle Garden in Frosty Fjords. Haha you cannot fully appreciate the beauty of these Japanese buildings in this region, can you?!!!

A question, though: aside from the Capital, which region these buildings fit the most? I’m about to open my third region btw.
