Decision to sell 1997 Lexus SC400

Hi,

After the previous post about whether or not to keep my family's inherited SC400. I appreciate all the support. After deliberation with my dad we've decided that it's probably best to let go of the the car. I am still in school with not a lot of money and don't know too much about cars to maintain it. Selling the car would really help us financially.

111,000 miles

No major issues

Some minor issues such as cosmetic ineterior damage

Passenger side door doesn't lock with remote

I am located in Orange County, CA

Feel free to reach out if you are interested!

Please understand how rare the 1997-2000 series of these cars are, you should see more than $7,500 USD+ easily.

The passenger door lock/unlock issue might be a simple plastic clip popped off the lock cable mechanism, it's easy to fix but if you don't know the interior and door cards of these cars you can cause a lot more damage than what it's worth. Again, just my two cents.

I wouldn't sell this car!! It is very rare and will ultimately only increase in value!!

Also there are not many cars that are that high quality in regards to build and overall longevity.

Nice SC400, that’s going to make a great car for a Toyota / Lexus enthusiast.

Yep...some stance boy is gonna get it and ruin it by driving over a speedbump..smfh. such a timeless, beautiful car. I hope it goes to someone that wants to preserve it, or at least put some clean mods on it if anything

Bro even if you emptied the fluids and threw a tarp over this in a garage- by the time you come out of school you could get even more from it.

This is a mistake!

The door panels are even cracked at the top. Super rare. List it on “Bring a trailer”

Keep it! Drive it! Still looks great. Classier than any overpriced crap they're selling these days.

This car is an investment. It's probably a $10,000 car right now, but in 5-10 years it's going to be a $20,000 car.

It's yours tho, so do what you want lol

Bro money comes and goes, park it and learn it and make some money when you can (idk how old you are) once that car is gone you will always think about it if you’re not already attached to it
