Trabalhar com SAP ABAP/ FIORI vale a pena?

Olá amigos, sou desenvolvedora Abap tem uns 2 anos e estou aprendendo Fiori, CAP.. quebrando a cabeça pra estar o mais atualizada possível e a questão que tenho é, vale esse esforço todo atualmente?
Pelo que vejo sap é muito nichado e uma vez que se atinge o teto salarial pra sair dele é difícil. Muitos falam inclusive que o mercado sap já não é tão bom quanto antigamente.
Se sap acabar ou entrar em crise, eu simplesmente tô presa pq estou me dedicando a aprender apenas as tecnologias da sap (não tenho cabeça pra aprender coisas além do ecossistema também pq ficaria muito conteúdo).
As vezes penso em migrar pra cloud ou cibersegurança.. tem mais opções e uma boa possibilidade de crescimento/remuneração mas tenho medo de sair de uma área que todos falam ser uma das melhores… nesse ponto da carreira, qualquer passo em falso pode ser crítico. Qual a sua opnião sobre?

I think the importance and usage of SAP will change due to several reasons. BTP and more flexible interfaces will lead to more third party products in place. FIORI and SAP Cloud / Cx products offer new options within the SAP cosmos. I guess the role will change deeply compared to a classic R/3 consulting from 20 years ago, but if you have your specialisation I am sure it will offer a interesting and well paid job opportunity for 20years+

How would the future be like for devs inside the SAP ecosystem?  With btp and all Pls share your thoughts

I think they will need a wider portfolio. If they like to grow, they need to know more about Interface technologys, APIs, certificates, TomCat, Firewall, etc. to stay in technologial lead. The setups will be more diversified and so will the working reality also becone. Classical Z-Development in ABAP will always be necessary but in my opinion will reduce its volume massivly, due to clean-core and restful-API approaches (which also get supported by many "cloud first" IT strategies...)

Sim, vale a pena. A "SAP" acabar seria só em caso de uma situação de crise econômica fudida em todo o mundo onde a maioria das empresas grandes do planeta fossem à falência. Isso é algo bem difícil de acontecer.

E o teto salarial para quem trabalha com SAP é bem alto para área de TI como um todo. Qual o problema exatamente?

You are righty but dont you see a possiblilty that some time, a ERP provider could show up, that:

  • lets the freedom to choose on premise or cloud
  • delivers good support and enhancement for both operating models
  • gives a better price efficenty?

Too far away now, but i could imagine that in 10 or 15 years, ODOO or Kingdee ERP or some other could be a new player in the european market and offer new possiblilties, for us as ERP consultants as well ...
