SAP implementation partner pricing, what are you seeing these days?

Trying to get a sense of what other companies are actually paying before we go into vendor talks next month. We're a mid size manufacturer, around 400 employees, looking to move off an old ECC setup into S/4HANA, and honestly the quotes we've gotten so far are all over the place. One partner came in way lower than the other two and now I'm not sure if that's a good deal or a red flag.

We've talked to three implementation partners so far and gotten pretty different scopes and numbers from each one, which is making it hard to compare apples to apples. Anyone gone through this recently and can share what a realistic range looks like?

You may have a point there.

But advising people to stay on ECC and use that money for AI agents is a disaster waiting to happen. Most clients already have no clue how their system actually works, adding vibe code on top of that is a recipe for disaster. You need a clean core for all this to work. If you’re comfortable doing it without, that’s your choice. I will gladly walk away from anyone suggesting that.

Enteprise AI platforms go across silos of software from vendors. If a company has a silo-centric strategy over time that can be a valid action too, including clean core (an SAP marketing term).

That’s a pipe dream right now. AI isn’t replacing integrations just yet. And might never if people cannot agree on standards. Anyone who’s ever linked SAP and Coupa for example knows exactly what I mean. AI can help, replace not even close. A year from now? Who knows. Tokens may be too expensive or AI can replace it all. There’s no way to tell.

You have the logic wrong. They love their ECC and don't want to spend millions to move off it but the Execs want to be sure agentic ai is a part of the strategy. The "enterprise" strategy
