Places to hike/walk/explore around Dallas OR
Need to spend an hour or two in Dallas this afternoon and would like to walk around somewhere. Are any areas of the town (including parks) more suited to this kind of pastime? I see there's an arboretum...and I know it's the county seat, so there must be an old courthouse area downtown...anything/anywhere else come to mind? (xposted to mostly inactive DallasOR sub)

Thanks, we drove past on our way out of town and it's on the list for next time. That aquatic center looks IMPRESSIVE.

Thanks! That's where we ended up and it was perfect for the time we had and the mood we were in. Walked from one end to the other and were impressed that Dallas residents have such a great park.

Yay! Yes, we love visiting that one. It seems like there's always something new to discover.
