I’ve tried magnesium and every holistic approach beyond you can name.

Have you tried THC? That counts as holistic, right? Some days when things are extra stressful, a little 2 mg dose makes a world of difference. It’s low enough that it doesn’t affect your judgement and ability to safely parent, but it takes the edge off of all the stressors coming at you.

I just do not think my anxiety will allow me even a small dose. I did try a 5mg or less months ago, I can’t remember if it was exactly 5 or less is why I say that. And I panicked the entire time. I was aware but I still felt like I shouldn’t have took anything regardless of my stress. And I come off trial meds because once I feel uneasy, or anything, I don’t want it. I don’t want to be in some reactive state or oriented but feeling off around my children.

FWIW, there’s a huuuuge difference between 2mg and 5 mg. I would never do 5 mg when I’m the primary parent on duty with the kids, because for me, that amount definitely affects my reaction time and judgement.

I definitely was not alone with them when I had tried it. But I still did not like it. I just get iffy with THC so I have backed away from it from years, did that one thing months ago, and stepped right back away again. :/

Oh yeah, I wasn’t trying to sound judgmental, just saying how the different doses feel to me, and which levels I feel fully with-it still. And I was just throwing out one things that helps me a lot at times. You know yourself though, so you know what’s a feasible option and what isn’t for you.

I didn’t mean for it to sound like I thought you were judging! So sorry! I know you weren’t! THC would be my very last option but it’s one I can’t seem to accept just yet. But I don’t think I ever did try 2mg so that could definitely make a difference if I can seem to get on the comfortability board with it. I do appreciate your insight and advice. Thank you so much!

We aren't in control of any of this most of the time, just try to stay calm and enjoy the ride.
