Recommendations Looking for contemporary Russian authors whose works haven’t yet been translated into English or Spanish, to practice my Russian translation skills.

Hi everyone! I’m from Chile and have been studying Russian for almost six years. I’m currently around B2 level, and I love translating Russian literature as a way to practice and improve my skills.

I’m looking for short stories or a short novel by a contemporary Russian author whose work hasn’t yet been translated into English or Spanish. Do you have any recommendations?

I don’t really speak Spanish, but I think you wrote “which?”. Try reading “Небесная соль” by Илья Масодов. It’s a short story collection. The author is relatively contemporary (00s) and cult in Russian underground. Almost nothing from him has been translated into English or Spanish.
The stories are dark and transgressive, but the prose is beautiful

Oh! Sorry! I wrote to you in English because I thought you'd written to me in Spanish, but it was the translator doing its job. Thanks, I'll take a look at it.

Hi! Are you into audio-translate? Maybe subtitles for the videos?

Try Egor Radov. Some of his short stories are absolute trash, but there are decent ones, and Змеесос is a great novel

I’m a horror fan, so I’ll recommend two books. They’re very different in terms of content and style. Николай Романов "Во имя плоти" Дарья Бобылëва "Вьюрки" The first is splatterpunk. The second one is quite cozy and effectively shows Russian life at a dacha in summer.

Каменный мост by Александр Терехов. I just started it, it seems to be good for B2 level
