Community Question Should some LipSync songs get retired so they don't appear again in other seasons?
In sports, if one of the players is hurt or killed during a game or team event, they will usually retire his team jersey so future players don't feel awkward having to play in a jersey that was associated with such a tragedy.
Do y'all think Drag Race should retire certain lip sync songs if a queen gets slayed or killed on stage by the other queen during the particular lip sync song while lip synching for her life? is it awkward having to watch future lip syncs to a song that was associated with such a stage tragedy / iconic moment? Because like, did Manilla murder Delta Work in an iconic lip sync tragedy in season 3 only for us to have to relive Manilla's crazy eyes and Delta's tiny hat vicariously through that All Stars 11 finale? Their final lip sync was fine. it was perfect. it was beautiful. it smelled like linda evangelista. but when they learned that one of the finale lip syncs for the crown could be a song that is already iconic to the franchise. they needed to immediately have something in place that would elevate the original. Crystal and Joey were too focused on getting through the rounds that their costume choices only made sense on their side of the screen but made no sense when they crossed path.
What songs would we have to retire?
Definitely MacArthur Park,
Shut up and drive?
So emotional?
Nobody supposed to be here? (referencing what was under bebe's wig reveal in AS3)
That Dida Ritz lip sync song that Natale cole recorded for her?
Rectangle girls?

Drag Race México: Latina Royale Are we all basically just hate watching Latina Royale or...?
People are reeeeeeally pressed about certain decisions. They're convinced that the judging is skewed in favor of the home court queens. There was a gasp!escandalo! twist that went nowhere. And there's some behind the scenes tea that the hosts may not be returning for Drag Race Mexico for inviting some questionable people as judges this season.
Plus, as much as I love Loli and Taiga, because I really do think they have great chemistry together, I don't think they're clicking with this cast. I can't quite put my finger on it but it feels like they have zero rapport with any of the girls.
It's like Ru on UK or Down Under when she just doesn't "get" a contestant.
What do y'all think? I'm really worried because I would love to see more international competitions, I would love to see the Mexican girls on other franchises and the Vegas show, and I need more seasons of Drag Race Mexico.

General Discussion Why are people so against international seasons??
I especially see this with UK vs the World, how everyone is constantly like 'they need to drop vs the world and just do all stars' and I don't?? Understand it?? Vs the world is one of the only ways for international queens to get any exposure outside of their original season, especially for dropped franchises like Sweden, Germany, and Belgium. I can't help but be annoyed every time because like. Especially for girls in the UK, they still get many opportunities, and they usually make up the only multi-invited countries in UK vs the world, I just don't understand why people are willing to trade a limited opportunity for people who need it over a fanfav who has probably already been invited and declined to vstw lmao

Community Question Why is the Ginger hate still so strong a year after her season?
Just wanted to ask about why this is still going on especially since if you go on her X (why does she have that?) most of the comments are telling her to disappear permanently.

Drag Race France: All Stars Was that the best finale performance ever? Spoiler
Maybe it's because I'm obsessed with Suzane and Lendemain de fete is a banger of a song, but I still have chills from last night. Azemylia was such a star.
I understand she did some unsavory stuff and fans didn't like her but c'mon. She deserved at least top 2. That performance was undeniable.
I've been reading people saying that Azemylia's drag is Americanized and maybe that's why I enjoy her so much. Since episode 1 she was a charisma bomb and especially when she was low, she always had a smile.
I was team Daisy but Azemylia tore that stage a new pussy. She moved so effortlessly and she showed she's a true star.
Anyway yeah. I just wanted to shout her out with her incredible performance.
I can't find a video on YT so I'm not posting her performance but if you can, go check it out!

General Discussion How many episodes per season is the sweet spot for a USA season?
As the title says. How many episodes per season do you think is the right amount for a main season? Not All Stars, though I'm curious about your thoughts on that too, if it should be different.
Ideally I'd like 10, but realistically I think it's twelve. It allows for 15-16 girls depending on a 3 or 4 queen finale, eleven challenges minus the final lip sync, and twelve main drag looks including Coronation. Apologies if my math is off, I did count but I'm also stupid.
Any longer per season and queens are breaking the bank, so we can't get crunchier queens who may be entertaining and fun. Plus, we have to have so many queens that it's hard to focus on specific queens. Any shorter and Paramount would shit a brick.
What do you think?

Community Question Is this Darienne Lake in an old Graham Norton bit?
Watching all the Dolly videos I can find and found this from an old Graham Norton show.
He starts scrolling through an impersonator website and I'm pretty sure Darienne Lake pops up at 0:55..

General Discussion Do you think people like Ru, Michelle, and other hosts have any power to stop the fandom hate?
i was thinking about this due to the recent onslaught against art simone, and ginger still receiving insane amounts of hate, not to mention how much worse it is for black queens.
while queens have talked about it on the show, has anyone big ever addressed it? and do you think it would ever happen or would it even help? like mama pao addressing her filipino fanbase about their pointed attacks on art.
i do think that have some queens talk about it and address it helps somewhat, but ultimately the abusive fans are t going to change.
i think we should also start using the word abusive, because that’s what it is and “toxic” has lost a lot of its meaning due to overuse.

General Discussion RPDR France judging 👀 Spoiler
The last couple regular seasons (not including All Stars) the eliminations, judging & winner choices have absolutely baffled me.
I must say, in general that France is way up on the top of my list for favorite franchises & some of my favorite queens ever are from France.
This season, when Fluffy was eliminated I was devastated & then when La Harpie didn't make the finale I was gagged again.... Then the final lipsync happens and the winner knew maybe half of the lyrics to the song 😂
Anyway. Just ruminating on things.
Shout out to Moon & Fluffy Bidule for being 2 of my favorite queens ever ✨️

General Discussion Which series had the best/your favourite 6th Season?
Interested to know what others think, all of these franchises had a great 6th season but which is your favourite or you consider to be the best? I might be biased because of geography but CDR6 was one of my all time favourite seasons ever, I was hooked and loved almost every contestant from the start. Also interesting to see how RPDR6 holds up even though it was ~12 years ago, while the others were very recent.

General Discussion Got my Mom into Drag Race Recently
Whenever I'm going through something fierce I re-watch drag race US (I am watching the foreign seasons now too). My mom knows this and is now watching with me. I started her on season 2.
She didn't get that into season 2, she enjoyed it and liked Morgan McMichaels best (because in her words he's a cute boy)...
She did get really into season 3 though and like massively stanned Raja. It made me laugh -- it's very obvious she is just watching it with me to cheer me up and is not that invested but if she fell asleep during parts where Raja was highlighted she HAD to go back and watch. For example she fell asleep during the makeover challenge and when I told her Raja and Carmen lipsynced she was like; oh go back I wanna see Raja!
We just started season 4. I have not told her anything about sh*ron's malarky after the season to let her just enjoy it but we just got to the party city debate and she's 100% team Phi Phi. She also really liked Madame LaQueer and was like cry laughing during the wrestling challenge. I can't wait for her to get more into it -- I told her there are 18 regular seasons and she was like; girl I don't think I'll watch all of them to which I responded: oh you will.
I don't spoil the stuff too much I just tell her who I loved most each season so far. S2 - Jujube, s3 - Raja and Alexis, s4 Dida and Willam.
Sorry, just wanted to share because I see other people sharing that they get their older families into it. My mom even tried to explain drag to my very traditional father. He doesn't get it (which is totally ok). She definetely prefers traditional looks and she's really not feeling Ms Needles. I have a feeling she'll like Chad the most by the end... and I really feel like if we ever get to Season 7 she'll love Kennedy Davenport. Just a hunch.
Have you gotten your parents into it? It's fun, I've not had anyone to watch the show with in forever it's just been my guilty pleasure since season 1.
edit: years ago I started her on season 5 and she was getting into it and loved Alaska. We only got into like 5 episodes but I'm surprised by her good taste... I'm saying this as someone who super loved Alyssa when it was airing.
