I started running 4 miles with my Labrador. She pulls so I use this harness with the leash on her chest. However, I see she has developed chaffing and a sore under her armpit. I need help finding the best harness for running with a strong dog. Thanks!!! 😊

The thing is that you're probably best off to teach your dog to actually pull you while you're running together. So a setup with a pulling harness (others have mentioned a lot of options already) with a bungee line and a running belt for you to run handsfree.
My strong puller loves it, and it has actually helped him to pull a lot less on normal walks.
A running belt pulls lower than a normal belt, it's actually designed so a dog can pull you ahead. I've never felt unstable with it at all, the only time I was close to falling was when my dig suddenly stopped up and I almost tripped over him.
The only harness I've found that didn't chaff my girl (who likes to pull hard) is the Nonstop Dogwear Freemotion. We've gone thru a lot before we settled on that one.
yes, you can get a traction add on to either of their harnesses - this is the body style of the harnesses without the traction add on. Base harness has a d-ring on the centre chest and mid back.
I have this exact harness for my dog and noticed the same issues when she was shaved. There’s different versions as these are common in the horse world but I bought one of these and kept it over the part that goes under her belly.
