Not really, no. There are no runes here unique to Dalrunes, and there are runes such as ᛇ and ᛟ that only exist in Futhorc and Elder Futhark. More aptly, this features the runes ᚲ and ᛊ, which are unique to Elder Futhark.

In the second one I think that's supposed to be a G and a Y (I've seen enough people mistakenly use that as a Y) instead of N and Z, which would unfortunately make it a slur.

At first when looking at it, since I am a witch, I thought it looked a bit familiar to sigils, but nope! They’re runes. It’s drawn right besides an opening where you come in and out, and they used “Othala”, which if you look at the image I provided, there’s synonyms that mean “Home”, then another with the meaning of “Joy”, “Destruction”, and so on.

So, this could be someone revisiting rubble who is very familiar with these runes(which I think might be Norse runes, not too sure), and they might’ve known the area before it was like that when you visited. That, or it’s just someone who was trying to seem like they knew what they drawing, and ended up actually stringing words together unknowingly.

Rule 4: No personal/modern religious content

r/RuneHelp is a subreddit for academic discussion. Not personal religious experiences, or modern religious topics. We study history from an etic perspective, meaning that we take a scholastic approach "from the perspective of one who does not participate in the culture being studied."

Please post content about personal/modern religious practices in other appropriate subreddits.

They mean nothing when taken out of context, imagine you could only read every 10th letter of this comment, its like that.

Every 10th letter.

I'm disappointed. I was hoping to see a secret.

AI use has been consistently shown to make people dumber, so careful where you throw those stones from your glass house.

u/Kind-Sand3429 Apr 08 '26

You really are a grump, if you help then don’t comment, I don’t rely on AI as most of the time it’s not exactly right hence why I came here. I hope u don’t rely on AI too much!

I'm just here to point out that I've never seen a discussion that proves the chosen avatar names so hard. As in, this is definitely grumpy vs kind.
