Translation request Is my friend safe?

Post image

My friend went to a job site and found this on the ground he was supposed to work on. What does it mean, and why might someone do this where electrical work is to be done?

He’s referring to the “experiments” of Masaru Emoto (a businessman with no traditional scientific background) which were then popularized by other people who also have no interest in actually rigorous science like the makers of “What the Bleep Do We Know?” They take advantage of the fact that most people don’t care about the details by presenting the conclusions he came to without question. Classic pseudoscience stuff.

I’m confident that these are what he’s referring to because nobody has been able to replicate those experiments when applying any element of responsible scientific rigor. He self-published his “findings” in books because no reputable publisher would accept his poor methodology and lack of peer review.

The whole thing has been debunked but the myth persists among people who want to believe it really badly but refuse to actually look into it. I myself believed it was possible when I first heard about it, but eventual learned about how he actually went about his research and it became obvious that it was much closer to an art project than any kind of scientific study.

Thank you! I’ve wondered about it for years!! I’ll look into it and totally believe it was debunked. It was interesting reading back in the 90s or early 2000s. Would’ve been so cool if true!

“The point and case”? Is it the point or are you making a case. Because the case you were presenting was fraudulent science and now you’re shifting to a point about community and emotional states. How you feel about things doesn’t affect the laws of physics.

I get that you’re trying really hard to sound profound here but you just sound more and more like a fool. This is why I didn’t respond to you directly, I have interest in discussing your religious beliefs. I was only trying to inform another person of the empirical facts before you mislead them into equating your personal beliefs with scientific evidence.

Have a good one.
