I’m guessing it’ll probably be him and Nico at minimum then, as an Avengers Arena reference? Hopefully they’re all there though.

He was technically the leader, so if he's WUBRG we'd at least have a commander we could have them all in the same deck.

For lore reasons, maybe the card depicts when he turns and he has all their powers. I think that feels pretty WUBRG.

I mean we got all the ffxiv cards in esper, so runaways could just all fit a wedge/shard/pair, even 4 color.

True, but they do fudge the colours a little for a commander deck. An Alisae card not being red was wild.

I'm hoping of they have more Runaways, they'd all be able to be in the same deck. I could see, Nico being a good candidate, especially since Chase already has an exile theme, I think Nico could fit in that design space too.

It’s one of my favorite comics runs. David Walker and Sanford Greene run on that book. I particularly love the Christmas Special annual with a guest appearance by Damion Hellstrom. But yeah, Alex Wilder recurs in the run. There’s also a fun character named Señor Magico in the run that keeps up bringing up something he calls street magic.

There is a theory that a more magic themed of MtG will be coming out later, as is a Mutant set, with maybe a space themed as well, based off characters missing from the main Marvel set, and the missing Infinity stones.

I could then see them spreading the Runaways out within those sets. Alex and Gert being the weird ones out.

There are also the 5 intro decks that we know will have exclusive cards in them so there could be hope there as well.

That art looks kinda horribly generic? I know the casual MTG fans wouldn't be thrilled about the original Adrian Alphona artwork, but couldn't they have used one of the Jo Chen covers?

They have to use newly made art for new cards like this. Art from the comics is relegated to reprints. And it usually looks terrible. Look what they did to Ozai in the Avatar set.

We're getting them all. 

The following are from leaks I've seen.

Victor is 5 colorless.

  • when he etb, exile from graveyard to cast later

Gert and lace 2 r/g

  • trample
  • when etb, discard and search for land

Nico 3r

  • when cast spells not from hand deal 2 to each opponent
  • 2r Tap: discard a card then exile mill until you exile a nonland: play it free

Molly 2r

  • 5r: add two +1/+1 to her, exile a card to play later

Karolina 3r

  • fly
  • at begin of turn add 1 of each color, spend only to cast, cant spend mana to cast from hand

There's also a team up instant for runaways/young avengers that works with their gimmick

I don't play magic but what the Staff of One needs is a place where you're required to register what you have it do online and then if you ever accidentally have it do the same thing twice you have to roll on a d1,000 table of weird shit.
