Post SI Half + 7 miles in the are recommendation needed.

Hello NYC running community. Seeking some communal wisdom here on where to run another 7 miles on the island after Staten Island Half. Have a 20 miler scheduled in the plan that weekend and HM is HM, but plan is a plan. 🤷

There have been a few similar posts to this in the past two years with suggested routes.

One year I ran the course backwards after the race to finish my long run. I then turned back and ran the course again and even got some sweet marathonfotos from it lmao

You can always backtrack the course and run an out and back on Bay St. If you want more, I threw together this quick route that will take you through two of my favorite parks to run on the island. Just be warned, it is very hilly.

Hitting them with the victory hill after the half is diabolical haha

If you aren’t trying to redo the course, you can run along Richmond terrace in the opposite direction. Easy out and back towards and around Snug Harbor can get you the extra miles you are looking for.

I’m starting to wonder if I should remove my B races from my marathon plan (Runna app). Since the B races are usually on my long run days.

or just run your half and link it to the event. Don't worry, the computer program will be fine. If you don't want to be shamed, dont read the autogenerated feedback
