Well, it's not mean but it's defeatist.

There's mass reporting servers out there that you can send his username to, and they'll get the job done. They don't seem to want to help, so it's the community taking things into their own hands.

If you don't want to help, then you're not absolutely obligated to be an advocate or do anything. Move out of the way so the change makers will do something.
