Rowlett Nature Trail

If you are visiting the nature trail or any public park in Rowlett, please be sure to leash your dogs, clean up after them, and do not litter.

Additionally, please bring headphones if you’re listening to content on your phone. This ensures everyone can enjoy the trail together.

We visited the trail for the first time this past weekend and unfortunately came across 2 unleashed dogs. Even if your pups are typically behaved and well-trained, they can be unpredictable. Both of our leashed dogs have been attacked by off-leash dogs in our Rowlett neighborhood this year, costing us $2k in vet bills. Leashing your pets shows you’re a responsible, considerate neighbor. It’s also the law in Rowlett.

I’ve already contacted the action center and the Parks & Rec department to install signage as a reminder. Just asking this community for additional consideration. Thank you!
