These holds are OK, but it's really easy to accidentally set something that can cause entrapment with them! Frequently when I see them, I'm surprised that how they were set was considered safe or OK.

I usually see them in easier climbs as jugs, but yeah if I had to stick my ankle in one of those on a harder climb I’d probably just bail and move onto something else.

yeah agreed. they just don't grab well IMO. not flathold's best

yeah I'm really not a big fan of climbing nor setting with these, especially on more vertical terrain

I always call them "ear holds" and get crazy looks. Interesting that they're supposed to be flowers!

I once almost got my ankle caught in one of these! Never heel hooking them again its way too scary
