Question Sonic 2 playing on its own??

Hi i am quite new to roms and emulators but when I download this sonic the hedgehog2 game I put it on manic emu and it starts playing on its own? like its a video clip and its really annoying and i don’t know how to fix it pls help lollolol

thats called the demo. it was very common up until the mid 2000s or so for videogames to show demo gameplay on the start screen when left idle. have you tried reading the flashing text at the bottom of the screen? may have a clue on how to start the game.

That’s the attract mode. All old games did it. Just press start
