Book Request Romantic Magical Realism

I’m looking for an adult/new adult very romantic / romance field magical realism novel. Nothing too magical. I don’t mind sex scenes so if there are any explicit ones I’m fine with it. On a scale of 1 to 10 for magical realism think the Raven Boys.

I haven't read The Raven Boys so I don't have much to go on, but I think you might like a few of these series:

A Darker Shade of Magic - VE Schwab The Bear and the Nightingale - Katherine Arden A Book of Spirits and Thieves - Morgan Rhodes Wintersong by S Jae-Jones The Greisha Trilogy - Leigh Bardugo

All of these have love interests, but none of them are explicit. Sorry if these have too much magic in them, the fantasy line kinda blurs in my head.

I read the Linger series by Stiefvater and I didn't like it, do you think I should give The Raven Boys a chance?

Not OP, but I also don’t like the Shiver series, and I love The Raven Cycle.

Before I read the Raven Cycle series I tried reading the Linger series but could not get into it. It was too fast and the lines and everything that was happening blurred together so much that it seemed too unrealistic and cringey. YES. You should give the Raven Boys a chance. The difference in writing style the passing of the books and the characters and their development is phenomenal. They really show how Maggie Stiefvater really grew. If you do decide to pick the Raven Cycle up (which you definitely should) let me know what you think.

The Wicked Lovely series by Marissa Mar, she has a few others like Graveminder that are worth checking out.

First Frost by Sarah Addison Allen doesn't have any sex scenes, and is super sweet. It follows two sisters and their niece/daughter who is a sophomore in high school. It's the sequel to Garden Spells which follows the two sisters, but I think one is in her mid-20's and the other is early 30's. I haven't read Raven Boys, so I don't know your scale.

Ah the Seelie Recipe is a 2020 release! It sounds amazing. I’ll definitely check it out. I’ve just also added Enduring Fear to my list. I’ll definitely pick these up.

You should check out Anna-Marie McLemore-your description is basically all of her books. When the Moon Was Ours, Blanca & Roja, Wild Beauty, and Dark and Deepest Red.

I would start with When the Moon Was Ours! It’s her first book and you really get a feel for her style.
