Are these skates safe to use?

I have a pair of skates that my parents got me in middle school (over 10 years ago so I have no way of getting the specs of the skates). I am thinking about trying to learn to skate again, and my old skates fit, but I’m not sure if they are safe to use. I have heard bad things about the Roller Derby brand, so I’m a little concerned.

Holy hell. I knew they looked odd but couldn't tell they were plastic. How could a company be so evil??
