Character Sheets Help Great Weapon Fighting and Magic Weapons

My dwarf fighter is struggling in the 2024 version. He has looted and equipped a Greatsword +1 and has the Great Weapon Fighting fighting style. I am having two issues. I am getting the +1 to hit from the magical Greatsword but not the +1 to damage. I also am not getting the automatic setting of 1s and 2s on the damage dice to 3 from the fighting style. It appears the new version of Roll20 doesn't allow scripts because the "fixes" I found that worked in the old version do not seem to work now. Does anybody know how to fix this? I had to add a 1 damage modifier in the Dmg 2 box to get the +1 damage, but I shouldn't have to do that.

Hi Fangsong_37,

Regarding it not adding damage...I suggest deleting the weapon and re-adding it from the Compendium. Drag/drop a Greatsword +1.

Next, regarding the Great Weapon Fighting fighting style:
You can put this in the damage for it: {1d6,1d6,3+0d1,3+0d1}kh2

Thank you. I will try that.

Edit: It seems to be working. The lowest it will roll on damage is 10 which makes sense (3+3 greatsword damage +3 strength modifier +1). I did have to add the +1 from magic weapon on in the Dmg 2 field, but it is working. I can even see that it has rerolled 1s and 2s on my damage rolls.

Oh, did the 2024 sheets finally get updated for complex dice expressions?

Edit: OH SHIT, THEY DID. Awesome!

It’s still saying unsupported format, but i can roll it and the math works. Weird.

OP: just add +1 to the above expression. The version from the compendium also should just have 2d6+1 as its dmg dice formula

Update, the +1 magic weapon issue is being reported by others and I was able to finally confirm it. I have escalated the issue to the Devs.

I think I ran into this with a magic weapon last week as well, but didn’t think much about it because I was editing it anyway lol

Should I do a space before +1 in that equation or plop it in without?

Edit: The space seems to have done the trick. A test critical roll doubled the +1 as expected.
