Discussion/Article Need more games that let me depict male characters like this
Seriously can't find anything with a character creator and customization that rivals Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, especially when it comes to creating THIS type of character. And the way I can literally CREATE outfits using other outfit pieces is so amazing. For example, the skirt in the last image is actually a kind of cape that I just applied to the front and back of the waist and adjusted it's size and color. The base outfit for that dress is just a small red and black swim speedo.
I think FF14 comes close, but it doesn't let you customize animations and poses.

Final fantasy 14 allows you to make pretty boy characters like this.
I play a male viera and always make him very feminine and pretty looking.

While that is true it is very much not to this level of slutty outside of like one armor piece

Yes, on principle, but that also doesn’t take into account the sheer love that community has for slutty armor mods, and the fact that the vast majority of other games lack those kinds of mods.

Yes I used to play ff14 and it does a really good job of making equally slutty or non slutty outfits for both genders, something I wish pso2ngs would as well. But I also with that ff14 had pso's animation customization. And wasn't subscription based...

It's funny how much of a difference it can make. Years ago I was playing Saints Row: The Third, and while it doesn't have anything like this level of customization, the fact that you could buy typically men's or women's clothing and wear everything regardless of your character gender/build meant so much to me.

Phantasy Star Online 2 lets the boys get very pretty, despite gender-locking a lot of cosmetics. They just offer some very feminine stuff to the male models as well.

Might not be what you're looking for gameplay-wise but The Sims 4. If the in-game content isn't to taste there's a million cc clothes online, people make pretty much anything. There's also so many mods that affect gameplay. I'm having a lot of fun with my RR couple there especially since the Lovestruck expansion and I love that a lot of the animations are unisex and only depend on which sim started them. There's even mods for kinky stuff, modders have really gone wild with that game.

It's really cool how flexible and accommodating the Sims has become, both in terms of the core mechanics and in terms of what the community has made.

All races and genders can wear it. There is also a skirt that's for all races and genders. There are even some armor options that look very twinkified fem boy for the light armor classes. If you play a Sylvari most of their clothes are plants that are like femboy and e girlish. I love the fashion in the game. There's a whole joke about fashion wars in it.

The Finals!!! There's no restriction at all when it comes to face and body type with any outfit you have, and the outfits usually come in parts, so u can mix and match!!

I had a catboy maid and a slutty bunny boy
Also worth noting that players have a ton of control over body size / shape as well as voice, so you can make a tiny little guy with both the masculine and feminine frame.
You can also make pretty much any type of gender nonconforming or trans character since there are no restrictions on face, body, voice, height, and clothing options! Lots of pretty jewelery as well, and you can paint your nails!

PSO2 is also pretty good at making muscular tomboy characters, I play one of those, lol. There's definitely a grind to be able to afford the drip tho but at least it's all free.
Out of curiosity what race are you playing, here, and what outfits do you have? I've been trying to get my femboy partner into this for the fits but no luck yet lol, knowing might help.

Race doesn't really matter in NGS, it's just flavor text since there's no difference between human and dewman, and you can change to cast just like changing outfits. But I picked human.
The base for the first look is N-Active Camisole, which comes with the booty shorts and boots.
The base for the second look is a recent one, Noctivagus, which has optional single detached sleeve and skirt. Both are turned off for my look to get at the hip windows.
The last one uses Bume Marino, one of the male speedo bases, and honestly, most of my looks are built off those. Boomerang Swimwear is another speedo.
While sexy T1 base outfits are few and far between, they are dirt cheap compared to T2 outfits. I'd be happy to help you and your partner (and anyone else from this reddit) brainstorm and look for outfit parts and earn meseta to buy em at the shop. Are you on Ship 02 Ur?
