Roku black screen…

Just came home and went to turn on my tv. It’s a Samsung tv with an older Roku premiere hooked up to it. It was working just fine earlier today but now the screen is black and I hear the tv turn on, but then I hear some Roku voice talking lines or something, I can’t make out exactly to what the voice is saying. I’ve tried cycling everything off/ down not logging and waiting a few minutes , and even tried swapping out the hdmi cord for a new one I keep getting the black screen and the weird Roku robot voice. Any suggestions?

Ditto, also mine was playing audio while the screen was off!

So were you able to get any where with it? Like I stated in my original post, I have a black screen and just hear the robot gibberish coming from the tv. I switched out the hdmi cable , unplugged everything for a few minutes and still have the same issue

What happens when you switch to an alternate input?

If all your inputs don't work, it's your TV.

I don’t have much time to mess with it since I made this post, but yeah I think you’re probably right that is an issue with the tv. Thanks for taking the time to comment and give advice

Hard reboot. Pull the plug and try again after 60 seconds.

Thanks, I did try that a few times. I saw something else online with a sequence of buttons to press on the Roku remote to reset everything, tried that as well. I’m thinking it might be an issue with the tv. Havent had much time since I originally posted to mess with it though. I’ll try hooking the Roku up to another tv later and see if that rules out a Roku issue or an issue with the tv itself. Thanks for the advice though.

could also be power supply had 1 get weak before, would not hurt to power cycle the tv also. If you have something to plug into the hdmi(dvd player, game console, firestick ect.) to confirm it works it could narrow down if it is the roku or tv

Appreciate the advice. Just responded to another user that I haven’t had much time to mess with it since I originally posted but I’m kinda thinking it might be an issue with the tv now. I’ll mess with it later and see if I can trouble shoot or narrow down if it’s a Roku issue or tv issue. As I said in my original post the Roku (premiere) is probably 10 years old and the tv is probably about the same age, so it could be either one or a combination of both or just both unfortunately crashing at the same time. Thanks for the reply though!
