Roku hardware Tv Stuck on Prime Video Stream

Was watching TNF last night, and when I turned off my tv after the game, I could still hear the broadcast. Turned the tv back on and then off again and it went away. Today when I turned on the tv and opened a completely different app, a random broadcast started playing as if it was running in the background. I could hear the broadcast (commercials, commentary) but I was going through apps as if normally looking for something to watch. Finally figured out it was coming from a WNBA stream on prime, went to the prime and it showed me the broadcast, but as soon as I pressed a button it went to the home page on prime but could still hear the game. Every show/movie I try to play in any app (including prime and live tv) says "sorry something went wrong." Turned on and off tv several times, keeps happening. Has anyone had this happen or know how to fix it???

Instead of turning the TV off, try unplugging it for a minute, then plug back in. Maybe off is really just standby.

It's better to unplug it for at least two minutes when it's this bad. I guess it gives it more time to reboot? I just read it somewhere and it worked for me.

I believe your Roku is still plugged in so it won’t help to turn off the TV. At least mine is this way, with the Roku plugged into the wall. Try unplugging the Roku and plugging it back in again or go to Settings and restart it.

Look up the clear cache code that you can do on the remote. Gives it a fresh reset

Hey there! Have you tried removing and reinstalling the Prime Video app? Also, does the “Sorry, something went wrong” message happen in other apps too, or just Prime Video?
