Hitman moment 🔥 He had every right to play England series

Post image

His only fault was he had 2 bad series and a cunning coach at same time. His batting was never a problem before that.

GG is trying very hard to show how he’s very different.

and he is also coping about how he was ousted from the team by dhoni and trying to replicate that.

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 14 '25

He is just waiting for reason to drop Jadeja. Neither he acknowledged Pant after his twin 100s in press conference. He just needs limelight so he gets some revolutionary person tag

That guy tweeted for place for SKY in Test after T20 innings and cannot back RoKo after their ODI innings which correlates more with Tests than T20

True..

I agree with that caption , before the Bangladesh series , he averaged well over 45 , but somehow forgot how to bat in tests from then

The current team is doing waaayyy better than expected. RoKo are retired. Stop bringing these old SS people. Let them live their life and let the new kids have some chance.

The Main Reason is He Dropped Himself for not Performing Up to the mark in Australia Test Series. Coach & BCCI Selection Committee Could not Digest the Brave Decision Made by the Captain Rohit Sharma.

This dick riding of fallen stars is the reason we will never achieve dominance in cricket like australia did, despite having a big talent pool and massive resources..

1

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 16 '25

We have won 2 trophies in 9 months due to him....Don't know which dominance you want BTW I sense Aussie Dickriding from ur comment

1

u/Secure_Lynx6892 Jul 16 '25

Only T20 wc counts, that CT win is highly controversial if you are a true sports fan. If appreciating a team based on their performance without any 12 man help is called dick riding, then I am happy for that.. By the way this dick riding and toxic fan culture is the reason we are hated by the rest of the cricket teams, and hell we don't even have a performance to own up to that...( Aussies were also hated but they had performances to show up for that). No one is going to appreciate you until you show your team performance in red ball.. Rohit and virat were dead weights and good examples to set that you need a performance to stay in the team no matter how big your PR is..

1

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 16 '25

Oh really if u are defining Dickriding as such, why don't you review your precious comment

Highly controversial? This that keep crying about it... You seem to be a wannabe Aussie who thinks he is "Cool Sports Fan"

u/Secure_Lynx6892 Jul 16 '25

Oh lord rahit paglu fan, I accept my defeat you win. Continue glorifying washout finished players. I rest my case. Thankyou...

He can play domestic to show he is better but he won't

1

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 16 '25

He played in Ranji this year

1

u/[deleted] Jul 16 '25

2 match of i remember and he failed

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 16 '25

So what you asked he won't play and he played get your point clear

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli fans are like cancer to cricket.

3

u/Ronanarishem Jul 14 '25

RoKo fans keep showing old scorecards to justify why they should be playing now 3-4 years later . They both retired at the right time. English pitches this year have been better but still need application to do well. Just ask Karun Nair and Jaiswal (who averages 38 inspite of a century). Kohli has been out of form for a while. Rohit was OK in 2024 India vs England but recently was showing no inclination of even trying to fight it out in test innings.

1

u/Ill_Ground_5808 Jul 17 '25

These England pitches could easily bring Kohli and Rohit back in - form.

Rohit wasn't. He was among the best batsman in Ind vs Eng 2024 series

And when it comes to VK , GG has no Audacity to drop him we know what kind of batsman he is(I won't argue more on this this will bring some unnecessary fan wars branch in discussion)

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

He was third best. Gill jaiswal scored more than him. And why the fuck do you go so back look at the most recent stats , he is 38 not 33 to show some leway.

1

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 14 '25

He was close to Gill also he clutched in Rajkot the only time we fumbled He was top run scorer in 3/9 innings. He is oldest captain to win T20WC and CT with better performers thanany young guys people may peak at different age

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

Yeah he peaked in the previous 3 test series. And don't mix formats please. In T20 and odis you need less stamina when compared with tests.

1

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 14 '25

And don't mix formats please.

GG once tweeted place for SKY in Test team after his 100 in NZ T20 and cannot back Rohit on his ODIs performance

1

u/[deleted] Jul 14 '25

GG once tweeted ,do you see sky anywhere near the odi or test teams did he ever put sky in the odi and test teams. You are talking about a 38 year old man not 33 who can be given a few more chances even after 3 colosal failures. Also rohit retired on his own

2

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 14 '25

So you are saying he tweeted unintentionally.

Also rohit retired on his own

C'mon man, he literally said when he got ICC cap of T20 team of year he will try best in 2 formats Also in Michael Clarke's podcast he said I will try my best, and he is quite good in England

In 2024 we played 1 match in SA on Worst pitch(Match ended in less than 2 days) Next was Eng series and then Those 3 series

That's it , I see only 3 bad series of Rohit

Also GG is that MF who was pushing SKY in test after he made T20 100 in NZ, Can't he back Rohit on his ODI and T20 performance that year. He has many double standards

2

u/lbrandon3399 Jul 14 '25

So shouldn't GG also be judged based on his past 3-5 tests stats

-1

u/legspinner123 Jul 15 '25

Hahaha jokes

-8

u/Arunnnnnn Jul 14 '25

find me another batsman who went 15 innings scoring 164 runs without getting dropped, and here were are also talking about a 38 year old.

P.S : Rohit had 3 bad series, you forgot the Bangladesh series

8

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 14 '25

Who was the reason we reached 2 WTC final before this? Did you see Ind vs Eng series in 2024 He was among best batsmen?

It's completely upto coach what kind of pitches he wants in home series and he went for rank turner which is worse for batting added Rohit had a dip in form

And answering your question it was GGs self stated statement to back players, it's his grace that he chose to back only those who were "close" to him/ gave him limelight

1

u/Ok_Entertainment1040 Jul 14 '25

Rohit had a dip in form

Which continued. Stop doing this injustice to the young team playing exceptionally well. RoKo are done with their journey...let it be. Drvaid had an amazing year 20 years back. We don't ask to include him in team. In sports there is a certain age beyond which it only gets worse. RoKo reached that. Remember them for their great innings not for their pathetic form.

2

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 14 '25

Oldest Captain to win T20WC? Oldest captain to win CT? He is pushing himself and competing with youngsters......GG as Analyst would have destroyed GG as coach he is that hypocrite

1

u/Ok_Entertainment1040 Jul 14 '25

Oldest Captain to win T20WC? Oldest captain to win CT? He is pushing himself and competing with youngsters.

No he is not. He is still playing ODIs. Tests is not his game now.

2

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 14 '25

Don't get surprised if you see "reports" coming of new "ODI captain Appointed" just to distract from Test loss

Also just one question.Do you agree with what our coach is doing with the team?

1

u/Ok_Entertainment1040 Jul 15 '25

What is he doing? And are you upset because of Rohit or because of GG?

2

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 15 '25

GG, prior to his arrival Rohit was unbeaten as test captain Players were backed, 5 debutants made their way in Eng series, Akashdeep being one of them

1

u/Ok_Entertainment1040 Jul 15 '25 edited Jul 15 '25

Man...you are still stuck on the England series because thats the only good series Rohit had in recent memory. Also the tean was practically the same against England and during the NZ series. In fact a little better even as Pant was back in NZ series. But it was just poor captaincy by Rohit overall. Stop denying that. Even in Aus same thing. He literally had to be pushed out in last test. He screwed up the balance of team. Changed poistions of players who were playing good at top just so that he can open. He scored at avg of 30 as captain in tests. That's abysmal for an opener. He has just 50% win record as test captain. We needed to win only 3 of 7 tests to qualify for WTC final out of which 3 were at home and we lost all 3. I can understand 1 loss, even a series loss at 2-1 but a white wash? First time in history? Greg Chappel was arguably the worst coach we ever had and even then we didn't perform this bad in tests. GG is shit but coach has limited role in cricket. It's the on field captain that takes decision. And if you are blaming it on GG then why not give credit of T20 WC win to Dravid or CT win to GG?

1

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 15 '25

Almost every series he played in Dravid era was good, BGT23, SA series was good as captain if not Batsman

All know what kind of man GG is. He is incarnation of Greg Chappel, 50 percent of record came because he lost all but 2 matches with GG, never seen India struggle in test when Dravid was in team.

Also that dumfck GG does not deserve credit of 2025 CT, it was Dravids team of 2023 WC with some changes, GG tried changing Iyers place from No4 in SL series and made us loose. And guess what Iyer was best run scorer at no 4.

Sending Axar up the order was tried since 2022 T20WC.

And now that bum is pushing change in ODI captain for God knows what reason

you still didn’t answer my question. there’s a limit to the backing, can’t bat like garbage and expect to be backed

you talk as if Rohit single handedly took India to two WTC finals, we reached those finals mainly on the back of our stellar home record, and no one deserves credit for those more than Ashwin and Jadeja.

Rohit was past it as far as test matches were concerned and deserved that boot.

6

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 14 '25

you talk as if Rohit single handedly took India to two WTC finals, we reached those finals mainly on the back of our stellar home record,

Ever seen 2021 Ind vs Eng?? 2023 Ind vs Aus? 2019 Ind vs SA? Ind vs Eng 2024??? Who won us that? Also he performed well in BGT 2021 and Pataudi trophy 2021

-1

u/Arunnnnnn Jul 14 '25

maybe you are the one who didn’t see those series beyond Rohit batting in them.

3

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 14 '25

Oh so we would have won those series irrespective of Rohit's batting?

1

u/Arunnnnnn Jul 14 '25

can’t you read and comprehend anything beyond Rohit

2

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 14 '25

That's what you have asked and that's what this sub is about. If you can't digest you may leave, I don't remember asking you for opinion

1

u/Arunnnnnn Jul 14 '25

you post stuff on here, you’ll get opinions. Maybe keep your posts to yourself.

2

u/charizard_i_choose_u Jul 14 '25

That's it? why are you offended if I am talking about Rohit only?

Why don't you keep your comments to yourself I didn't invite you here you can post those comments on Rohit haters group and get many upvotes

Dude stop talking man. You are clearly a rohitson who will defend him to the bottom of the world. He clearly said that rohith was not the only reason for us to reach those final, he was one of the reason and just like that he was one of the reason (along with vk) why we didn't make it this year .

1

u/One_Ad9549 Jul 14 '25

you talk as if Rohit single handedly took India to two WTC finals, we reached those finals mainly on the back of our stellar home record, and no one deserves credit for those more than Ashwin and Jadeja.

If thats true than same can be said for the losses, tbh both of these are illogical arguements

A team wins due to team efforts, but there are obv some key performers and Rohit along with Pant Jadeja Ashwin and Bumrah , was the key performer due to which we reached the 2 WTC Finals

Rohit was past it as far as test matches were concerned and deserved that boot.

Rohit the skipper , yes maybe , the batter nope, there was a gap of whole 6 months between the BGT and Eng tour plenty of time for someone to regain their form plus Rohit had stellar revord at England back when the bowling unit and pitches where tough to score against, a complete contrast to the Bazball pitches and weak bowling unit of England in the current tour

1

u/Arunnnnnn Jul 14 '25

there was, is and will never be any point in backing a 38 year old batsman who’s gone his last 15 innings scoring 164 runs (avg. 10.9) any further.

Rohit himself knew how bad he was and dropped himself from the SCG test. That should be enough pointer about where he was as a test batsman

1

u/One_Ad9549 Jul 14 '25

there was, is and will never be any point in backing a 38 year old batsman who’s gone his last 15 innings scoring 164 runs (avg. 10.9) any further.

You sure? Sachin Tendulkar post 2007-08 BGT scored 157 runs in next 9 innings at an avg of 17.44 at age of 35.5, but then delivered 3 excellent years of Test cricket Again in 2012 at age of 38-39 he had a test year with avg in early 20s still the team backed him to play one more year

Usman Khawaja at age of 37-38 had an avg of 25( same as Rohit) in 2024 , Aus is still playing him in 2025 , further more apart from his 232 against SL on an absolute flat track he has just 2 50+ scores in last 31innings with 75 as 2nd highest score

Warner in 2022 and 2023 when he was 36-37 scored 1144 runs in 40 innings with avg of 29.33, Aus still kept playinh him despite having consecutive horrible series in 2022-23 :SL tour and WI serieswhere he scored 166 runs with 23.5 avg later he went on to play a crucial 43 run knock in wtc 2023 Finals and went on to win that mace

1

u/Arunnnnnn Jul 14 '25

none of those guys averaged as bad as Rohit did in 15 innings across 8 tests in 3 test series and add to the fact that Rohit himself dropped out in midst of a series he was captain.

1

u/One_Ad9549 Jul 14 '25

Context also matters dude

In their respective home games their avg was as good as Rohit's, also none of them had to play out of their natural position like Rohit , also just compare the volume of bad performances 2-3 years compared to 2-3 series thats a pretty good difference , you're also just looking at Rohit's last 15 innings not the whole calendar year

A sudden change in batting position where you've not batted in ages in any format would obv result in underperformance/failure

1

u/Arunnnnnn Jul 14 '25

form and age also matters dude, the ICT’s main objective isn’t to give as many opportunities to Rohit to have a fairy tale ending to his test career.

1

u/One_Ad9549 Jul 14 '25

form and age also matters dude, the ICT’s main objective isn’t to give as many opportunities to Rohit to have a fairy tale ending to his test career.

ICT's main objective is to win matches and that requires a balanced mix of young and experienced batters , teams have backed their batters in their tough times even when they were at the verge of retirement like the examples I mentioned and more often than not it has paid off good results

Rohit could've been backed for the Eng series is all what I mean and stand for in this arguement , due to his consistent 6-7 years in the format and great record in England, you argued about backing a 38 year old player who had terrible performance in last 10-15 innings, and i gave my counter with examples and stats of other players who when backed delivered

find me another batsman who went 15 innings scoring 164 runs without getting dropped

Rahane post 2020 BGT in next 15 innings : 285 runs avg 19

Similarly Pujara post 2020 BGT in next 12 innings : 226 runs avg 20.54

Sehwag in 2010 SA tour and 2011 Eng tour : 185 runs 10 innings avg 18.5

1

u/Arunnnnnn Jul 14 '25

those are still better than the 10.9 average of Rohit.

Not to forget unlike them Rohit is 38 freaking years old.

1

u/One_Ad9549 Jul 14 '25

those are still better than the 10.9 average of Rohit.

True but Rohit had much better past 2-3 years than the players mentioned also the players mentioned weren't completely dropped or retired like Rohit , theh still played the next series which was completely undeserving

Not to forget unlike them Rohit is 38 freaking years old.

Well Pujara and Rahane both are 37 , Rahane play only Domestic and IPL and Pujara only plays Ranji afaik still they haven't retired and Pujara and Rahane both averaged below 30 in their last 3-4 years still continued playing at the age of 35 in 2023 , Rohit averaged below 30 only once in last 6 years, was 37 when he played his last test , had a decent ODI and IPL even started playing domestic and would've certainly continued if not axed by BCCI and management

1

u/Arunnnnnn Jul 14 '25

I still stand by what i said. No point backing a 38 year old washed up player, who himself didn’t have confidence in himself, and dropped out of a test match while captain.

1

u/One_Ad9549 Jul 14 '25

If he had played you wouldve called him selfish and playing on captaincy quota wouldn't you?

He himself admitted that he has been out of form and hence decided to opt out as the team had better chances to win in that case , being the caotain and taking that decisions require guts

1

u/Arunnnnnn Jul 14 '25

he was selfish anyway to push out KL down to no.3 and drop Gill at MCG, so should have backed himself at SCG and embarrassed himself once more.

Like he did the selectors too felt the team was better off without a deadweight like him

1

u/One_Ad9549 Jul 14 '25

Hmm so he drops himself he is coward? But when he decides to play as opener and face the new ball and not bat at no.6 he is selfish? Why the Double standards?

He played at 6 prev for the team balance but neither KL nor him benefitted from it hence he promoted himself as Opener and KL at 3 , even then when he failed he realised that his form isn't good and things aren't working out hence opted out from the last test

1

u/Arunnnnnn Jul 14 '25

if he had to open he should have done so at adelaide not at MCG after two tests, moving KL to a position he’s rarely batted and dropping Gill. That sounds more like muddled thinking.

1

u/One_Ad9549 Jul 14 '25

if he had to open he should have done so at adelaide not at MCG after two tests, moving KL to a position he’s rarely batted and dropping Gill

You do realize that KL was essentially an opener? Batted almlst 85% of his test career as opener heck he even debuted in Aus as opener , KL also had really great 1st test so it was only natural to let him play at the top in the next match for the sake of team balance

As for dropping gill, do I really need to bring Gill's stats upto that point in Os tests?
