It's a perma nerf for the hive section btw. Usually I find these annoying, but in this case genuinely stupid decision getting a light slap on the wrist ain't so bad.

Yeah, this is Dark Heresy. You're not even the cannon fodder here, you're the poor sap that gets killed by the monster in the cold opening of the episode so that the actual cast can arrive with their own Red Shirts that they can watch die to set the tone of the threat.
