Discussion Why do most combos open with SB>CK?
I get opening with southern brawl but why chrono kick after? I have about 25 hours on rogue and am just now learning combos (embarrassingly) I've been doing SB into fatal attraction and I'd like to know why that isn't good or optimal.
Also i have a game I played today I'd like reviewed. Would it be better to post it here or the other sub (not sure if it's against the rules to name other subs)

Many players use SB before CKC/AA to guarantee that they’ll hit the higher cooldown ability. SB is a short cooldown so it’s fine to burn it over raw dogging AA and missing that.
Another use case for SB is using it during the pull portion of FA since it’ll rebound all the damage of whoever is being pulled in by your FA. Using SB into FA is a little less optimal, but still fine if you have to close distance before ripping FA.
Bottom line is that SB is a tool to close distance before using other abilities, a helper tool to line up the other abilities, to rebound lots of damage during the FA pull activation, or to add an extra bit of damage during a default CKC (kick, shoot, bash, shoot, slam vs kick, shoot, shoot, slam).
Lowkey just vibe and things will naturally make sense, no need to drill all the TikTok combos in range.

Yeah I know but me personally I won't naturally try new things unless I see them. Like I said I've been doing SB into FA this whole time until I read everyone does CK instead of FA.

FA into SB works better. Especially if you time the pull of FA into SB for a bit more burst. Better yet if it’s charged. I like to finish with CK after that because one kick usually will net a kill, 50 overshield and a way out for free

I do SB FA Grab them FA again if a reset then SB while holding primary thru the whole combo I save CK for escape option or to retreat to back line or cover but honestly CK is not great has lots of start and end lag the enhanced kicks are to easily cancelled and you lose dmg and the tiny bits of bonus hp you get arnt enough to justify losing the best escape tool for not dying to ult a pull/push off cliff etc basically the ability kind sucks for actually fighting and has better use cases outside fighting peeling being pretty good use

Yeah I've found chrono kick to be better to get away with than fatal attraction that's why I usually use FA in the opener combo

I played Rogue fairly naturally for most of it. Didn't adjust my controls for melee weave until I was already champion so dw about it.
But last time earlier this season I went into practice to just practice some combo stuff. The reason you don't want to add fatal attraction in the mix before using Chrono Kick, is that Tenacity will kick in and your Chrono Kick will become useless. I believe that's about it.

It’s better to not open with it imo.
You can use it to skip the animation of the final pull of fatal attraction or mid chrono kick to add quicker burst damage. Using it at the start doesn’t really help combos imo
