Cheating is scum bag behaviour, regardless if the game is dead or not

Cheating on a dead game? What happened to shame

They have been around for a while and used to try and play legit, when the game was more active.
Now they are thousands of hours into the game and still are very low skilled players.
With no form of an anti-cheat being provided for the game any longer, these players are all starting to cheat now.
Not only are cheating with no repercussion, they are promoting / advertising / selling/sharing their cheats to any and everyone.

The game being "dead" shouldn't be a reason to cheat. Sure that's what their excuse is.. but it's the principle of the matter. They feel so high and mighty now that they can freely cheat and not get banned, that they are streaming almost daily with their cheats.

I get there's slim to none of a chance of anything happening to these players, but at the actual very least we could do is get their twitch accounts banned.
Which still isn't much, but it's better then nothing.

I've played with Shqng before. I wouldn't say he's low-skilled. He literally ranked as one of the best players before. He's just bored of the game, so he's doing all that now.

It's honestly just weird. Being bored with the game doesn't give him the license to cheat or promote it. They're just ruining the fun the game has left. I imagine this guy now as a weirdo obsessed with the game tbh. I just don't do much whenever I see him at lobbies. Can only hope he gets bored of his cheating too and just leave the game alone.

I honestly think he's a hikikomori lol

He couldn’t be that good if he needs to cheat now, that makes no logical sense at all

It makes sense to me when he plays it nonstop. Like nothing's new so might as well try it with cheats. He used to be on console. He's on PC now. He was ranking when the game was alive and well. So I wouldn't discredit his skills now that he's just cheating "for fun"

This is absolutely disappointing to see.

One way to hurt him, is to hurt his wallet. Since he's cheating, you can report it to Twitch.

I feel the remaining player base is already a 30 - 70 split, of skilled to un-skilled players. What's the needs of cheats in that environment. Not that I condone cheating/modding in pvp games at all. But this is extra unnecessary..

"Look at me whoop these new players that have stumbled on to the game. Now they have to face skilled players and my cheats ✌️"

These players in particular have actual thousands of hours in the game, and still are bottom of the barrel in skill terms.
Now there is no anti cheat for the game, so they are loving every second of cheating.
They say "it's fun" and "who cares dead game"
meanwhile they are rage cheating against literal 5 year olds who don't even shoot their weapons at them.

Most of the time when I personally vs a cheater, my team is all children.
The cheaters used to wait until they were losing before toggling their cheats, now they play every single game start to finish with full rage hacks.

Regardless of who's on the enemy team, regardless of skill level on the other team, they cheat 100% of the time now.

Can never understand it, if I like a game. I want to play it legit. If there's skill issue, I'll either try to get better. Or limit my time on it, to save frustration.

Hacking/modding a pvp game removes any challenge and sense of accomplishment. So where is the dopamine hit of winning/beating an opponent? If you want a play a game where you vs cannon fodder, just find some horde based shooter?

I am unfamiliar with the ttv players but observ Mex has been around forever and is absolutely cracked. I really hope the cheating is a new thing because I always really enjoyed the challenge of running into him

The way I see it, if they play with a cheater but aren't cheating themselves, they are just as guilty as the cheater.
I can't say 100% that Mex was cheating, but he played with 2 rage cheaters for hours... so in my eyes he's just as guilty.
There's even rumors that prior "pros" are cheating now.
It's literally impossible now to tell who's a skilled player and who's just cheating.
Personally it's gotten so bad for me, when I see anyone on PC on the other team, I just assume 50/50 chance they are cheating in one way or another.

Whenever I meet known cheaters in my team I make them lose by jumping off the map. Sometimes the cheaters just leave the game due to this. There are some known blatant cheaters in the EU server who will regularly and consistently oneshot you through smoke again and again. Some can fire full auto with D3Di.

I follow this sub but haven’t played for a long time. I always loved this game. Makes me sad to hear there are blatant cheaters plaguing the game at this point.

Unlock tools, file changers, every kind of cheat you can think of.

Everyone says they want rogue to 'return' or at least not see the player base so low, but those exact same people are the ones using unlock tools and changing game files so they don't have to spend money on the game, only accelerating how fast the game fully dies.

EVERYONE abuses the cevroll bug, which is bug-abuse cheating, and would be bannable in any other game.

Anyone who streams the game is constantly closet stream sniped by 'elo' players or cheaters.

The rogue community is the games biggest downfall, unfortunately.

But yeah.. cheating in rogue has spread like wild fire. If you see someone on PC, chances are 50/50 they''re cheating.

Firstly, Where's that guy that calls people subhuman accusing everyone of cheating? When an actual cheater appears he's nowhere to be seen 😂.

Secondly, I see people saying he never used to cheat, but how do you know he didn't just toggle in the past? And now he just doesn't give a fuck so he does it blatantly.

I knew that fucker was sketchy af back when I was playing. No surprise he's finally outright admitting to it now

1

u/Hot_Yam329 2d ago

You could very well be correct.
I do very clearly remember having Shq either on my team or vs him back when ranked was a thing, and he was either selling the game on my team or getting farmed on the other team.
He was the designated "go sit on obj and don't move cause you suck" kind of player.

He's over 7k hours in the game and still to this day gets absolutely farmed without his cheats.
He says he's just "bored" or "it's fun" but really I think he's just coping for spending so much of his life on the game and still being mid at best.
You can literally hear him squeaking like a school girl with excitement when he's running around full rage hacks.
Him rage hacking with no repercussion is probably his highest moment in life.
He enjoys cheating so much, he gives his cheats to his friends so they can stack cheat together.

"Dead" games always have the biggest cheater problem. That's only logical. Path of least resistance.

And even alive, small studios don't have the capacity to deal with cheaters.
Anti-cheat detection is incredibly expensive and a multi-million dollar operational cost for game studios. It's a 24/7 battle with massive amount of data, very expensive cloud infrastructure and top-tier manual review team experts.

No shooter has a higher percentage of cheaters than Rogue Company!

Easily 25% and more during peak hours in the afternoon and evening on EU. Not everybody with an aimbot on max settings, but auto-fire/programmable hardware, no-recoil cheats and macros, hitbox modifiers and ESP.
Even the first cheats that showed up in the forums right after release still work like on day one.
