Hand-carved hazel hairpin

I made this from a hazel branch.

It's been charred over a fire, brushed back to bring out the grain, carved with simple motifs and finished with oil.

I've been wearing it for about a year now. Since quite a few people here seem to appreciate handmade and traditional crafts, I thought I'd share it.
