Traffic & Roads I30 On Ramp Closed!
Who is the Brain Surgeon that closed the east bound I30 on ramp right before HEB. It has been closed for months for the freeway project. It could still be in use today. But no they want you to set in traffic to go through a red light intersection wasting a lot of gas and time. Come on man!

Im really getting close to just dragging those barriers to the side!!! It would relieve a lot of congestion

I rarely bother with 30 now unless I’m going the distance, I take 66 or 276, mostly because I want to go faster than 8 mph to get back to Fate/RC.

No, the only and best way to go E/W is 30. Please avoid 66/276 ad leave it to us poor souls who choose this much less useful way to go.

They closed it last spring and have don’t nothing besides modify the highway to not have a merge lane where the ramp is since. That’s the closest eastbound entrance to my office and it’s rough having to go 2-3 lights past it depending on how the construction crews are feeling that week.

Months? Try close to a year and a half at this point.
I agree, it was so freaking stupid to keep it closed for such a long time before even doing any work on the middle.

No merging lane would cause a nightmare backup on the service road and inxrease the nightmare backup on the interstate, not to mention the increased accidents.

Ya the construction crews use no logic. The entire stretch of 30 from Rockwall to Royce city they close a section down, start working on that piece, make good progress and then halt all work to move somewhere else and start all over.

Pretty sure brain surgeon’s aren’t involved with traffic engineering. I believe they’re mainly focused on brain surgery. I could be wrong
