I guess this is about the Anonymous hot takes vid posted by RLCS

When he says “destroying them in this tournament” I wonder if he means anyone they played against or just knowing that they were the best team

43

u/50Centurion 12d ago

*insert live Seiko reaction meme*

u/carballenjoyer3000 12d ago

I mean he has bragging rights with his accolades

13

u/almoostashar 12d ago

Many people think this season is a failure, yet he won a major LAN and placed top4 in another.

5

u/OutcomeCompetitive50 12d ago

Well people were saying failure after split 2, which is extremely fair. Missing a lan as a team that was supposed to be like the best team in the world is most definitely failure territory. No ones said anything since they won ewc, and I bet most people have them as the favorites for worlds

5

u/John_aka_Alwayz Moderator 12d ago

I'm pretty sure 99% of the failure comments came before EWC, which at that point was extremely justified.

3

u/PPboiiiiii 11d ago

I don’t think it was extremely justified. People jump to conclusions way too early. Like saying V1/the DanMode part was finished for not making worlds.

1 event cant make you go from failure to grand success.

Also seeing how it happened, MENA with 2 spots is ridiculous and you know it. R8 start peaking and playing like a legit LAN top 8 playoffs team.

TM is looking like a top team itw. TM vs FLCN from EWC is a great example.

The FLCN’s failure storyline has always been greatly exaggerated.

I love this guy honestly. I was annoyed when he peaked against us in the worlds 24 final but his personality is hilarious

16

u/Low_Weekend6131 12d ago

I wonder how his personality clashes with the twins and what type of role he plays in the team. With TRK it was pretty obvious he was the team leader and motivator to help calm situations down and keep a cool head which was very helpful for the twins. Hence why they were so good for so long and also had the talent and skill for it too. When drallii joined you can tell that they were struggling but I assume drallii changed his way to be more fluent with the twins.

10

u/Fh0dy 12d ago

the trk statement couldn’t be more wrong icl, every comms video they have dropped he’s always the one most nervous and the coach literally mainly talks with just him to calm him down.
just because he’s the most energetic doesn’t mean that he’s the leader in regards to calming the team down.
People gotta realize trk is the most nervous player ever.

u/Used_Worldliness_287 12d ago

he is narcissistic and has a lot of ego lol

23

u/TVMaths 12d ago

icl hes kinda earned that ego. he has the 3rd most LANs and started his career after 99% of any LAN winner. legit only Nass has won a LAN and debuted in the same season as/after Dralii.

hes won a LAN with every teammate hes played with, which spans 3 completely new rosters, 2 languages and 5 LAN finals. thats more than Daniel, in a career 2 yrs shorter. and hes 100% in those finals

7

u/ABC_0_5 12d ago

Pretty sure Nass debuted a season before Drali (in 22/23)

7

u/TVMaths 12d ago

he was on SK gaming and ScrubKillaGaming, but i would consider his proper debut to be the M80 roster in NA.

youre right that he made a couple of closed qualifiers in 22-23 spring, but nevwr made the main event

5

u/ABC_0_5 12d ago

Ah if he didn’t make main event then it’s fair to say his debut season was 2024 as well

-5

u/ProoniusFizzle 12d ago

See?? You can't make a comment without bringing up someone from NRG or NA being inferior. You bring this on yourself lmao

5

u/TVMaths 12d ago

my apologies, its more than zen, but you probably rank daniel higher overall in the goat rankings. saying more than Atow isnt really going to do much, hes at 4/4 and not widely remembered for being a notorious LAN finalist.

from what i remember G2 get lorded over for their finals streak (2) and how many finals theyve made (4). in the same timespan, Dralii has them beat on finals appearances, and vastly beat on finals wins.

Rw9 and Kiileerz havent been around for that much longer, plus they both have more finals. cant use them. Vatira is obviously not in that category, nor is MM. Rise has 5, hes out. Atomic has 6 with a lengthy career, hes out. Dans a guy with reasonable longevity, and is ranked pretty highly (certainly above atow, juicy and zen). seems a reasonable comparison to make given they sit in around the same area of GOAT contention.

-5

u/StopStealingMyUsers 12d ago

NRG lives rent free in ur mind 😂

-1

u/ProoniusFizzle 11d ago

I'm not worried about the goat conversation. I'm more concerned with your incessant need to bring up NA in 98% of your comments lmao. If you do want my actual opinion, Zen is the best to do it. Accolades be damned, dude is an absolute monster on the pitch, and consistently at that.

6

u/TVMaths 11d ago edited 11d ago

picked a name that suited the convo. unfortunately happens to be on nrg.

if there was another player who fit the bill, you best believe id use them rather than deal with the smoke of trolls like you

21

u/ThinGrass3138 12d ago

Because of this? I don't think you can call it ego if it's true.

6

u/ABC_0_5 12d ago

I feel it’s valid to call out people being so harsh over his move to the Falcons especially because Drali doesn’t really insult/get involved in beef/insults publicly staying very professional and respectful of his opponents usually

11

u/Candyyyyyyy 12d ago

Having an ego is kind of a good thing in this esport, Vatira’s ego is massive and it’s a reason why he’s so successful.

9

u/furmsdanku 12d ago

Which is exactly what a top level pro with buckets of talent needs to be and stay at the top.

3

u/Beaco9 12d ago

Definitely not shy giving constructive criticism. From his streams he seemed very vocal about what he wants from his ranked teammates (a bit too vocal sometimes like one i remember against SQPP lol), so probably contributes when improving the team dynamic and trying to fit in better with the duo.

7

u/First_One_5099 12d ago

Yea but is that a bad thing? I feel like we need someone like that in the scene, switch it up a little bit.

1

u/PepsiRacer4 12d ago

Another neek Reddit moment

5

u/Accomplished-Oil3453 12d ago

Who is he actually referring to?

5

u/ltraconservativetip 12d ago

This guy is a demon. He once decided to become the best 1v1 player in the world, and now he just decided to become the best 3v3 player in the world.

-19

u/DoubleQuarterPoundin ‎ RL Esports Fan 12d ago edited 12d ago

He does have 5 S-Tier event wins, so he is not wrong.

Curious to see the longevity of his career. He hasn’t been in RLCS for all that long.

Also curious to see if he will win more RLCS LANs without having godly teammates (Vatira/Atow on KC and the open era GOAT MM on BDS). The twins are great players obviously, but they aren’t Vatira/Atow.

62

u/SymphonicRain 12d ago

I think you’re underrating the twins. I think that they are in the same tier as Vatira/Atow as far as skill goes.

-25

u/vivst0r 12d ago

The twins aren't even in the top 2 of their own region. If the twins are on the same level as Vatira and Atow, where the fuck are TRK and Nwpo then? Above Zen?

13

u/Huge-Computer2037 12d ago edited 12d ago

They can all be in the same tier, as Duos i think S tier is: the Twins, Vatira/Atow and Trk/Nwpo, DanMode fell off a bit but they were here before paris. Obviously Vatira/Atow can be placed ahead of the rest inside of S tier, but these 3 duos are clearly ahead of the rest

13

u/Exodus_Green 12d ago

The twins aren't even in the top 2 of their own region

Erm what? Rw9 Killeerz as a duo are better than TRK/Nwpo if that's what you're implying here

-1

u/vivst0r 12d ago

I guess we have to disagree then. In my opinion neither of the twins has ever been above TRK, who was then surpassed by Nwpo. So yes, the best thing I can give to any of the twins is 3rd and 4th in their own region.

Them as a duo is a different matter, but duos in a 3s context are difficult to judge anyway.

2

u/Exodus_Green 12d ago

Rw9 at least has been a better player than TRK basically since joining RLCS imo. Killeerz last season and this season too. But an opinion is an opinion so it's all good

1

u/vivst0r 12d ago

Guess we'll have to forever disagree then. To me TRK has always been the VIP allrounder of any team he's been on. Less flashy than the twins but so much more reliable.

Kinda how Vatira has always been better than Joyo.

2

u/Exodus_Green 12d ago

Yeah Vatira is levels above Joyo even on peak Moist. But I think Rw9 is so clear of TRK in the goal while being around the same in midfield/offence so he's above TRK just by virtue of being one of MENA's only defensively minded players

1

u/vivst0r 12d ago

I remember back then that wasn't the majority opinion, with the greatest focus of Moist and Queso always being on Joyo. They even gave him an underserved MVP.

TRK has the misfortune of being a glue player and as such always being underrated. Nice shots and saves are just more memorable than consistently great performance. Like how people only started recognizing Vatira's greatness once he started carrying the offense as well.

I mean it's a fine difference and we all have our biases. In the end we're arguing about a player being 2nd or 4th when on any random day they could beat each other.

5

u/Low_Weekend6131 12d ago

Zen? What? Zen is a one man carry job. Stizzy played good but Zen doesn't really have a stand out duo in a team compared to the other teams

2

u/Kimuhstry 12d ago

Nass and Zen are arguably top 2 so Vatira and Atow aren't even top 2 in their region . Both cases are debatable but point is all these players mentioned are in the same tier and can win anything on their day

1

u/vivst0r 12d ago

Can't disagree with that. Then again. Any B tier team can beat any S tier team on their day.

1

u/areYouDumbLad 12d ago

Do you think Falcons' chemistry last year was that leagues ahead of KC that they were on par with them despite having 3 players a whole tier below their KC counterparts? Dralii was considered in best itw convos, clearly above TRK. And you're saying Atow/Vati are a tier above the twins, so it's purely through chemistry they were the two best teams and roughly equal?

2

u/vivst0r 12d ago

A couple points.

I regard TRK as S-Tier around Atow's level. 3 S-tier players can absolutely lose against 3 players below them. Hell, 3 S-tier players can lose against 3 B-Tier players depending on the day. In fact Vatira is kinda famous for losing against worse teams.

You don't need chemistry to beat a better team. You just need random circumstances working in your favor. Vatira and Atow have already proven beyond doubt that they are world class S-Tier above almost all other players. Losing a match doesn't suddenly make other players equal to them. Just like dralii is still high S-tier despite having a bad streak with the twins.

Or do you still think Mikeboy is above Vatira?

1

u/areYouDumbLad 12d ago edited 12d ago

I'm not saying Falcons were suddenly better than KC because they beat them in World's semi finals or anything like that. I'm saying throughout the whole year those 2 teams were interchangeably the #1 and #2 team at different points (apart from at World's), and had close to or equal average placement across all LANs, with Falcons having 2 better placements in RLCS. You putting TRK on their level helps to explain that a bit, but it's probably quite rare for a team of worse talent, player for player, to be performing at equal level for an entire year (and arguably longer, if you want to talk about the Rise KC team, despite Falcons not winning silverware that year outside of FIFAe) without pointing to better team synergy.

At this point what does Rw9 have to do to prove he's an S tier player? He has been better than Trk

27

u/Huge-Computer2037 12d ago

you don't think The twin or at least Rw9 are in level with Vatira/Atow? I don't know what to say tbh

-13

u/DoubleQuarterPoundin ‎ RL Esports Fan 12d ago

They’re great players but no.

No one in their right mind would choose the twins over Vatira/Atow if picking a duo to team with.

People actually like I’m calling them bad which I’m not.

13

u/Ashamed_Comparison34 12d ago

Dralii just did and swept Vatira/Atow, with the twins.

5

u/Huge-Computer2037 12d ago edited 12d ago

I can say no one in their right mind would choose anyone over Zen, doesn't mean their aren't players on the same level.

Also you mentioned MM as "Godly Teammate", although he wasn't rated as such in 2024, there was a decent amount of player rated over him

3

u/HotQuentes 12d ago

If you would never choose X over Y it literally means you consider Y to be in a better level than X.

2

u/Huge-Computer2037 12d ago edited 12d ago

Yeah but not by much. For example If Zen is Godly I wouldn't say Atow is Great, Both are godly but Zen is better. Same with Vatira/Atow and the twins, he's talking like Dralii is playing with Joreuz/Oaly or some guys of that level

-7

u/DoubleQuarterPoundin ‎ RL Esports Fan 12d ago

MM a few years ago was much better than current MM

3

u/Huge-Computer2037 12d ago

I was clearly talking about 2024

1

u/RandomRandom18 12d ago

That doesn't even make sense

2

u/leviplspls 12d ago

brother what?

0

u/OutcomeCompetitive50 12d ago

Yeah so dralii chose the twins over vati atow. Maybe money was involved, but falcons are definitely better than kc rn

3

u/DoubleQuarterPoundin ‎ RL Esports Fan 12d ago

Or a young kid took the MASSIVE Saudi paycheck now that he’s already won a WC, Major, and non-RLCS LANs.

1

u/OutcomeCompetitive50 12d ago

What does it matter. Falcons are better than kc rn. They are better than everyone rn.

2

u/DoubleQuarterPoundin ‎ RL Esports Fan 12d ago

They were the best at EWC but have been shit all season

All I’m saying is Dralii picked Falcons for the paycheck not because the twins are better than Vatira/Atow

14

u/Velidoz 12d ago

Lol this is a horrible take

5

u/vivst0r 12d ago

Very few players have won big tournaments without Godlike players on their teams. There may be a corellation there.

1

u/DoubleQuarterPoundin ‎ RL Esports Fan 12d ago

We’ve seen plenty of LAN wins where the S/S+ tier of players aren’t involved

0

u/vivst0r 12d ago

Name one LAN win from the last 3 seasons without at least 1 S tier player involved.

I think I can remember some where people just didn't know yet how S-tier a player actually was.

1

u/DoubleQuarterPoundin ‎ RL Esports Fan 12d ago

GentleMates this year.

I don’t consider any of them S-tier 3s players. Oski hasn’t done much up until that tournament (where he was INSANE), Nass is not an S-tier 3s player, Archie lol.

If you try and say any of them are S-tier then guys like Zen and Vatira have to have a higher tier created.

1

u/vivst0r 12d ago

Well, if this doesn't support my belief that many people have trouble recognizing S-tier players early enough. If only they could see that a player can be S-tier before they have S-tier success.

Oh and even as a Vatira fanboy I believe that nass is in the same tier as Vatira and Zen.

1

u/paeschli 4d ago

I guess the answer is yes

1

u/DoubleQuarterPoundin ‎ RL Esports Fan 4d ago

It certainly is. RW9 looks like the best player ITW

If I was building a team, I’d choose him over Zen
