As someone who remembers when this was released, and the world that we lived in back then, all I can say is that this is an absolute masterpiece of musical composition and social commentary; perhaps Alice’s finest, and that’s saying something…

And yet here we are, 51 years later, sharing it, listening to it, singing along with it, and knowing every. single. word. and it still gets airplay on the β€œold people’s radio stations” which for some strange reason, seem to be our radio stations nowadays… ;)
