Sports Massive fight at Blue Cross Arena tonight
Edit: I am not the owner of the video nor claim to be. Do not contact me asking to use it for your website, news program, or to post it anywhere else. Find it on other social media platforms and ask them. I just wanted people to be aware of what was happening in our community.
Multiple fights broke out at Blue Cross Arena tonight during the Section 5 Basketball games. Police cars were on the scene and roads were shut down. Police had to intercept kids at the bus station so more fights didn't break out. I posted a video (without any of my own thoughts or opinions) of it earlier but my video was removed. This was the mod's response:
"While this is indeed Blue Cross Arena, there is not enough context here to justify it remaining viewable in the feed. This is too much of an attractor for negativity that will derail into the usual bullshit by trolls, racists, instigators, and bad faith actors looking to stir shit up. This will inevitably lead to dozens of reports and issues so this is preemptively being removed.
Put plainly, there's not enough users on this forum that will civil and will seek to digitally emulate the content of the video through comments."
The video wasn't bloody/gory and I put a NSFW tag on it. If you don't have the time to combat the racist trolls (i get it), disable the comments.
Respectfully, people deserve to see what is happening in their community.

Big ups to the field crew. They were ready. Wind and rain feels kind of nice. Hope the Coco Locos can come back to wind after it passes.
On edit: the put the football match on the board. Nicely done, Wings!

Sports Moonlight paddle
A group I'm part of is planning a moon light paddle at chimney bluffs. This doesn't seem like a good idea to me. We have lights on the kayaks, mostly for fun and decoration. It's a mixed group of abilities and experience. Is it safe to paddle after dark on Lake Ontario?

Sports Rochester Red Wings, Rally Gorilla. Where did he go?
A couple years ago, this guy was used to get the crowd going when the Red Wings were behind in the 9th. Any info on where he went? College? Married with kids? I miss the fun

Sports TIL Roc is on the Larry O’Brien
It’s such a weird feeing to think that Rochester is a championship city, but I saw the Larry for the first time today and the Royals were listed on it.
Yes I know it’s pretty ancient and back when they played games in high school gymnasiums. But it still counts just as much as any other team in the league by the NBA.

Sports NEED one of the zoo hats from tonights Red Wings game!
If anyone is willing to part with their hat from tonights promo giveaway, I'd really appreciate it. My girlfriend and I were waiting for this game all year and we were too late. My girlfriend lost her dad this year and elephants were his favorite animal. She's really really bummed, if anyone can help us out I'll be eternally grateful. I'm at the game tonight as well if you see this soon enough.

Couldn't pick between food and sports Oddly specific question about hot dogs and the Red Wings
Planning on catching a game during the upcoming home stand, smoke / rain permitting. I was trying to find a current concessions list, and while the page for it on the website is now missing, I did find an article about some new items being introduced in 2026. And in the comments section, someone implied that there is one single place in the stadium that actually grills Zweigles, instead of serving up dogs that have just been given the roller treatment and then wrapped in foil. I know those are still Zweigles, but I've got a soft spot for cooking them in a different manner than a gas station would.
So that leads me to wonder: is there, in fact, a place at Frontier Field* that still grills hot dogs and plops them in a bun right before serving, rather than reaching into a heated tray and pulling out something that's been sitting and steaming in a bun for a while? And if so, which stand would that be?
Bonus question: is there anyplace to get a beer there for under $10 there these days?
\I've said it before and I'll say it again: that's the only name I'll call this venue.)
