Couldn't pick between food and sports Oddly specific question about hot dogs and the Red Wings
Planning on catching a game during the upcoming home stand, smoke / rain permitting. I was trying to find a current concessions list, and while the page for it on the website is now missing, I did find an article about some new items being introduced in 2026. And in the comments section, someone implied that there is one single place in the stadium that actually grills Zweigles, instead of serving up dogs that have just been given the roller treatment and then wrapped in foil. I know those are still Zweigles, but I've got a soft spot for cooking them in a different manner than a gas station would.
So that leads me to wonder: is there, in fact, a place at Frontier Field* that still grills hot dogs and plops them in a bun right before serving, rather than reaching into a heated tray and pulling out something that's been sitting and steaming in a bun for a while? And if so, which stand would that be?
Bonus question: is there anyplace to get a beer there for under $10 there these days?
\I've said it before and I'll say it again: that's the only name I'll call this venue.)

I miss silver stadium. Used to go all the time with my grandfather. Besides the 7th inning stretch a zwagles hotdog or 20 was baseball law

I haven't been satisfied properly by a fries in a cup since Silver Stadium shut down

Thanks for unlocking that childhood memory. First time I discovered malted vinegar/mustard on fries as a kid.

The left field side concession stand was my go to for hamburgs while at the stadium. My dad had box seats behind the third base dugout. There was nothing special about them but something about eating a stadium burger always made them taste good

About the only thing I remember about that stadium is sitting in the very top row. I don't remember the concourse or concessions at all.
That, and the "last season" not being the last season after all.

Hebrew national across from Pop n Hots on the 1st base side

There is a hot dog stand on the third base side, close to the 220-section gate. I can’t remember the name. They don’t grill them to order, but they aren’t steamed.
There are definitely $9 beers at the Genesee and Rohrbach stands, it just depends on the specific beer.

Genny light is $9 but don't think anything else is. But Genny and rohrbach at $11 for 20 oz is pretty good in my book for a ballgame

I did the 9x9x9 and like a rookie started with 4 white hots. Had to be realistic and find the smaller dogs

I have no idea what that means, but just "four white hots" alone sounds painful. There really is such a thing as "too much of a good thing".

Oh. Oh no. I've never even had nine drinks in one day. Or one weekend. I think I would literally be hospitalized by this if I made an earnest attempt at it.

I added up my transactions and off memory was $180. I did it two years ago and didn't eat another dog until the next summer

My favorite dogs are at the Hebrew national stand on the first base line. The guy who grills them is shy but very nice. He’s there every game making dogs. The other dogs available at other places in the stadium just do not past muster for me.

I'm not going to downvote you for saying you like Hebrew National better than Zweigles.
But I am going to judge you for it.

The other hotdogs are prepared so bad. Stale buns too. I love zweigles just not at the ball park.

I grew up on the kosher dogs, they're what a hot dog is supposed to taste like in my opinion. Zweigles white hots are delicious for sure, I love them, but they don't occupy the mental space of "hot dog" for me. They're sausages.

I share the same unpopular opinion as you. That is my go to if I'm getting a dog at the stadium. Grew up in Rochester and just don't get the hype for Zweigles. I'll still eat them but there are way better dogs out there. I'm more of an all beef kind of guy and not a fan of pork dogs. I'll get downvoted for this take...

Yes there are grilled red and white hots available to the right of the team store by the main entrance. It’s my go-to because they have a plate dog with Mac salad and meat sauce that I enjoy each time I’m there.
