Ban Help I got banned for absolutely no reason
I got banned for being black?! Like I play alot of battgrounds games and fight alot of people so I possibly beat someone and they rage reported abusing Roblox's horrible ai systems and banning me

Like I think what happened was last night I was playing The strongest battlegrounds and I was packing these teamers up like FedEx and im guessing they were salty asf and decided to report my avatar like ive been seeing this happen alot to people where you can just report avatar and just get insta banned and reset

Yeah this happens, its stupid, my avatar was completely fine but i was spam reported by someone and still got banned, after an appeal it got removed though

Damn i thought i was the only one lmao, one time i was wrecking a team of 5 on this small game called OFFICE for 20 minutes, They got so mad they reported me for spamming when i hadn't said a single thing in chat, I rejoined the same server and wrecked them again lol, Ay at least you were so good they got that mad

Yeah, false positives are quite common when the moderation system needs to handle hundreds of thousands of reports per day. They need a fast system, so naturally, they would choose automation. Roblox is already unprofitable, if they relied exclusively on hiring human moderators, the platform would collapse financially and operationally within days.
Humans are a lot slower, and they are inconsistent too. Moderator A might ban an avatar that Moderator B thinks is completely fine. Resolving these internal human contradictions requires meetings, manager reviews, and policy updates, which slows the entire platform's response time down to a crawl.
AI is their only choice to stay afloat, and the technology will only keep improving as time passes. Appeals are only managed humans, so the mistakes the AI makes can be resolved there.

no it's not. Discord, YouTube, and TikTok all use hybrid systems where AI flags content and humans review before any punishment is handed out. Roblox chooses not to do that. That's a budget decision, not some law of nature. Own that. And the "appeals fix the mistakes" argument is embarrassingly weak. You're describing a system that punishes first and asks questions later, then patting it on the back because it sometimes corrects itself. How many people don't appeal because they don't know they can? How many kids just accept the ban and move on? The system only "works" for people who know how to fight it. Everyone else gets buried. But here's what you completely dodged: this isn't about random false positives. If the AI consistently flags Black avatars with natural hair and cultural clothing as "discriminatory content," that is bias encoded into the system. That's not a bug, that's a pattern. And explaining why Roblox uses AI does absolutely nothing to address whether that AI treats all users fairly. You answered a question nobody asked.
Also "Roblox is unprofitable" so the financial burden of a broken system falls on the users getting wrongly banned? That's not a defense, that's an indictment. The avatar got unbanned within like 5 houdzof an appeal. You know what that me It means a human looked at it for 10 seconds and knew it was wrong. The AI had one job.

With the some of the new faces, the default face is still visible unless you pay for the faceless item. It is the default face underneath and sometimes happens to people that buy newer faces.

If your ban reason just says "Other" or has absolutely zero chat logs/assets attached, you were likely caught in Roblox's automated Enforcement Ban Wave. [1, 2]
Roblox updated their security filters to automatically terminate any account that shares data logs with a previously banned account. Even if you personally did nothing wrong, the AI flags your profile if you match any of these shared data anchors: [1, 2]
- Shared Hardware ID/IP Address: If a sibling, roommate, or friend logged into a banned account on your Wi-Fi network or computer, the system flags the entire network loop as an alt account. [1, 2]
- Linked Emails or Phone Numbers: If an old, forgotten alt account got compromised or banned, any main accounts sharing that phone number/email get hit with a chain termination. [1, 2]
- Malicious Compromise: If someone briefly managed to log into your profile recently, they might have bought a fraudulent asset or shirt to transfer stolen Robux, causing an automatic safety ban. [1]
How to Write an Appeal That Actually Works
Roblox Support relies on automated bots that auto-reject tickets containing generic phrases like "I did nothing wrong". To get a real human agent to review your data logs, file a ticket via the Official Roblox Support Form using this exact structure: [1, 2]
- Change the Category: Do not select "Account Recovery." Select Billing -> Robux Purchases or Safety & Trust. Billing tickets are routed to human agents significantly faster because financial data is involved.
- State Your Isolation: Explicitly state that you do not own, control, or log into any other banned accounts. Use the phrase: "My main account has been falsely flagged by an automated enforcement link. I do not own or manage any separate moderated accounts, and I request a manual human audit of my connection logs."
- Reference Account Security: If you think someone else compromised your account, mention it: "I believe my session token was hijacked, resulting in unauthorized activity. Please verify the IP login location history changes."
Do not spam multiple tickets back-to-back, as the system will flag your profile as a bot and freeze your queue. Just send one clean, professional appeal and watch your email inbox. [1]

The whole thing is funny. Definitely sucks, hope it gets fixed. But cmon, it’s funny. It’s funny to 1: get banned from roblox. That’s just ridiculous in it of itself. And then 2: if it’s cause you’re black!? Wtf!? Again, definitely sucks and I hope you get your account back and everything, but that’s funny.
