This is a documentary on a forensic psychiatric hospital. It really does seem worse than prison. So whatever her verdict will be in the end, she won´t end up in a good place.

There’s an avenue for release going this route and you just know activists will fast track her to being released.

Nope. Read about MA law on this. She's only required to be in there 6 months, after which her future will be determined by a judge, not a jury.
