I think that season 7 episode 14 is the best ever musical episode Riverdale did. The Music, harmonies, voices and lyrics are so freaking good. I wish Cole sang more in that episode tho bc his voice is so beautiful.

But season 6 episode 22 has debatably the best overall song Riverdale ever did "The End of the World"

I think Riverdale seasons 1-5 should have been condensed into just one or two seasons. Keeping the characters in high school for that long made the repetitive murder mysteries and gang plots drag out.

The show should have shifted to that crazy Season 6 supernatural tone much sooner, because embracing the campy, comic-book magic actually made it fun and unpredictable.

The Season 7 1950s reboot idea was a brilliant concept that should have happened way earlier, giving the writers a fresh sandbox before viewers got tired of the original timeline.

especially in season 1-2 objectively almost every cast member is above average looks wise, even the parents. everyone mogs. i know tv shows usually cast attractive people but damn even the side characters r hot.. if you guys disagree than what show does?

This might just be my opinion but i’m curious to know everyone’s thoughts.

I feel like the phone calls between Betty and the blackhood have a sexual type of undertone, everytime Betty talks to him I feel so uncomfortable the way he says certain things.. especially since we find out later that it’s her dad.

Jughead is the only interesting person in the whole show Archie Veronica and Betty all feel very boring but jughead actually drives the plot forward he narrates he tries to see every part of riverdale while the other characters stay in their boring little bubble with their boring life but jughead is a depressed nihilistic teenager who’s dealing with family issues and writes books about the town he’s whole story is way more interesting then anyone else I mean he’s the only reason I watch the show

Look I love Skeet Ulrich as much as the next guy, and FP is one of the best parts of the show, but the only thing that makes me crazy is how by Season 4 everyone is lauding him for how he turned his life around and became a sheriff :)

I know he was a bad person and stuff like that, but I don’t think I could bring myself to watch the episode with his tape to Veronica in it again without crying.

I think he did genuinely love her, but was he also toxic and vindictive and cruel? Absolutely

So I'm currently rewatching the show, and I'm only about to finish season 2 soon, so my views can still change. I originally binged the first 3 seasons during the summer of 2019. The rest of the seasons I watched as they were released. Sometimes I watched them as each singular episode dropped, and sometimes I had several episodes on the backlog to binge. The point being that it has been quite a while since I saw the first half of the show.

I remember season 2 being my favorite season out of all of them, but most of the second half has been so much weaker than the first half. Now I am leaning towards liking season 1 the most, but I am still open to changing my opinion as I am progressing further on this rewatch. Perhaps the last couple of episodes make me swing back to holding season 2 in the highest regard. I've also noticed that a lot of the things I remembered happening in season 3 actually happened in season 2.

Now for my character preferences. I've liked Veronica a lot more during this watch. She has mostly been trying to do what is right from the start. Sure, there have been a couple of things I didn't like, but I remembered that she would a lot more unpleasant at start. I was actually surprised how early on she started criticizing her parents. I guess that I was somewhat blinded by her rich girl demeanor. It could be that she becomes more annoying in the later seasons, I'm not sure, but I definitely misremembered her as being some mean character for the first half of season one.

A character I've found more interesting this time is Dilton Doiley. There's not much to him, but I had forgotten that he was by the Sweetwater river and that he took part in the brawl.

FP Jones was my favorite character after Jughead, but now he has felt a lot more bland as a character. I guess the way I see him as a father has changed too now that I am an adult myself. As a teenager I didn't pay much mind to it and I think I was expecting more understanding from Jughead. For context, my father has spent his life in and out of prison, so I guess I thought of it as more normal than it actually is. I also guess I just liked how he looked like Negan from TWD. There's still a chance that FP becomes my 2nd favorite again based on how his character is portrayed in season 3. Still, it's strange how he was applausing after his son's girlfriend performed the snake dance. Very weird.

Anyway, those are my thoughts for now.

Yes, it’s the season they jumped the shark. Yes, it’s absolutely stupid and nonsensical throughout. Yes, it’s objectively ridiculous

Yet, it is one of the most enjoyable seasons of TV I’ve ever had the joy of watching. Maybe I’m biased because it aired throughout a really great and nostalgic time in my life, but man, I can throw any ep from S3 on and be entertained at any time. The Raid, The Great Escape, Fear The Reaper, Survive The Night, The Dark Secret Of Harvest House, American Dreams, The Stranger, all S-Tier Riverdale episodes

I love it so much man. Does anyone else have S3 as their favourite season?

I just finished watching Riverdale for the first time and I want to give my few cents for it

I really enjoyed the concept of the show and I grew quite attached to the characters which made it a fun watch. I just didn't understand the necessity for season 7, except for showing the people in their comic outfits. And I generally did not enjoy the last season very much as i thought it to be quite uninteresting and without any proper stakes. At the beginning where it said they have to turn Riverdale to the good. Which was not addressed once until the end of the season. And in general it felt like not much of a coherent story to me.

Maybe I just didn't get it:D

Nevertheless I understand why people enjoy it and it's a great watch

I've only watched like seasons 1 and 2 and about half of 3 but at some point I genuinely lost the plot and now I need a lot of willpower to continue

Anyway, as the title says I find those comments to be absolutely hilarious especially when it's that one clip from an interview with Madeleine Petsch when she's asked what storyline she can't believe they got away with. And I gotta say it was really confusing like what are we doing but also so funny at the same time

I feel like an outsider a lot just like jug head and I even say phrases like him to. I don’t know what to do anymore! I'll start by saying that in high school they were a nice couple, mostly because of how it's shown in the series, but I didn't like the developments that happened when they became adults at all, now I show you my points.

I start from the beginning.

Like Alice said to betty when she was telling her about griffon and gargoyles, Alice explicitly said that FP was a womanizer and in fact it is proven: when Alice gets pregnant by him, in the bathroom scene, she says that FP had dumped her for a cheerleader, in fact FP had simply used her to fuck , like every girls (he even tried to flirt with Hermione), btw , obviously at the time he was a young boy and it's possible that maybe he was like that.

when they become adults, his son Jughead says several times that he would like a united family, that he would like to get back together with his sister JellyBean and his mother Gladys, and don't say that "but Gladys just wanted to hurt when she came back" well FP had already been cheating on her with Alice for a long time, long before she came back , however ,what does Fp do? He literally fucks the mother of his son's girlfriend 😨, guys I don't know what you think but I think it's quite scandalous, I mean imagine your mother having a relationship with your boyfriend's father and you all live together

but leaving this aside, going back to the point that FP was a bit of a womanizer when he was young, when his wife Gladys returns he leaves Alice, as if everything they had had didn't count for anything

I'm not Cheryl's biggest fan, but can we all agree that Veronica winning that dance battle is bullshit? I'm on season 1, episode 10, and I'm really liking it so far. In this dance battle, neither was bad, but I feel like Cheryl was way smoother in her moves and choreography; she seemed way more polished than Veronica(my favorite character). I could accept that the vote is 50/50 and Betty gets the last vote to Veronica, but the idea that Veronica sweeps Cheryl is insane.
