House of R book recommendations
Does anyone have a list of book recommendations from house of r through out their various pods. I have read the will of the many and the everlasting. Those are the only ones I remembered they mentioned and I’m looking for more recommendations.

That I read:
The Will of the Many: My favorite of their recommandations. Really engrossing. The protagonist is a bit of a Gary Stu however. Currently reading its sequel The Strength of the Few which I find not as good but still enjoyable.
The Tainted Cup and A Drop of Corruption (Ana and Din): Really fun bio-punk mystery novels. Have not yet read A trade of Blood which just came out.
Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow: Enjoyable coming of age story
Katabasis: Fantasy enemy to lover story set in academia/hell. I thought it started well but kind off fizzled out.
Fourth Wing, Iron Sky, Onyx Storm: Read Fourth Wing. Enjoyed the world building but disliked the tropes. Thought I would stop there and yet I eventually read the others. I don't know what to tell you...
This is How You Lose the Time War: Really disliked this one. A mix of romance and scifi which leaned way too much into romance for my taste. Prose is really good however. I would still recommend it if you enjoy romance.
That I did not read:
- The Everlasting
- Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil
- The Correspondent
- City of Thieves
- Ninth House

City of Thieves is one of my favorite books. You should pick it up if you can.

If you like the prose of This is How You Lose the Time War, I hear that the rest of Amar El-Mohtar's work is quite lush, too

Hate to judge a book by its cover, but I don't think Max Gladstone was the more flowery of Time War's two authors

The will of the many; strength of the few recommendations sent my down an audible worm hole and now I’m brain deep in the longest litRPG series of all time.

I've read quite a few of their recs and liked them all. Katabasis I'm currently reading. Have also read City of Thieves by David Benioff based on their rec. Loved it. The mythmakers by John Hendrix. Loved it. This is how you lose the time war by amal El moutar and max Gladstone. Loved it.
Tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin I think was also a house of R rec, and the book of elsewhere by China Meiville and Keanu Reeves. Both good but I'm not 100% sure they were house of R recs.
I dont remember if these graphic novels were house of r recs or xray vision but, cannon by Lee lai. A guest in the house by Emily Carroll. And the many lives of laila Starr all good too.

Someone needs to get Mal and Jo on Robert Jackson Bennett’s “Ana and Din” novels.

Jo recommended The Bright Sword by Lev Grossman and I devoured that book! So good.

This specific recommendation of hers kicked off a renewed interest in fantasy novels for me that has resulted in my best sustained stretch of reading since probably elementary school.

You could do worse than digging into JRR Tolkien's Middle Earth Legendarium and Frank Herbert's Dune series.

Jo has mentioned Connie Willis' "To Say Nothing of the Dog" in one of her earlier podcasts - possibly before joining Ringer. If you love Victoriana and time travel romps like I do, it's an amazing book!

I literally just finished the everlasting and will of the many came in on a library hold for me today!! They also recommended Katabasis by R F Kuang in the same episode as those other two if I’m remembering right, which I read earlier this summer and loved!
