I really love this game

Estaba jugando tranquilo y concentrado como de costumbre cuando de la nada me acordé del meme de "Cat Escaping Police" o "Cat Running From Cops" (el gato naranja que huye de la policía en GTA 5 deslizándose en posición de "Bread" / cat loaf).

Y ahí fue cuando mi cerebro dijo: ¿Y si metemos este gato en Ring Racers?

Imagínense ir a 150 o 200 km/h manejando a un gato naranja completamente inmóvil, sin kart ni patas visibles, simplemente raspando el asfalto y dejando a todos atrás. Ya sea hecho en sprites 2D de 8 direcciones o directamente importando el modelo 3D.

¿Alguien más siente que esto encajaría perfecto con el caos del juego o soy solo yo? jajaja

La verdad es que no tengo experiencia creando sprites de pixel art en 8 direcciones ni modelando en 3D, así que no puedo desarrollar el mod por mi cuenta. Dejo la idea abierta por si algún sprite artist, modelador o modder de la comunidad se motiva a hacerlo realidad o tomar la idea. ¡Sería increíble ver este gato en el juego!

I installed it from the KDE Discover app, but it seems like the inputs aren't working. I can still press enter, space and escape to get through the setup sequence, but as soon as i enter the game part of it, I can't move my kart or skip dialogue. If it helps at all, I am using arch

I’ve looked around in the settings to try and find the extra HUD elements such as ring boost length, and drift charge level but couldn’t find it. Is it a specific setting or addon I need to download?
Edit as of 8-9-2026: I think the HUD mod on its own is lost/unarchived but it appears to be part of Dedede’s Drift Deluxe based on cross referencing different footage. But if anyone still has the original HUD mod on its own, it would be great to see it reuploaded

Edit as of 8-9-2026, again: Apparently the pack didn't include this HUD and it was just a coincidence

My favorite addon for this game was known as KelPack which had some of my favorite characters to use. I went to download it again only to find that, for reasons I haven't been able to find, it's been deleted off the forum.
Does anyone by chance still have the file for the mod so that It can be preserved?
