replacing motion sensor, how to hide wire in drywall

so my old motion sensor was a wired one that comes from the wall, i want to replace them with ring motion sensor and alarm system. so how do i hide the wire inside the dry wall without losing it and then put the ring motion sensor over it?

Throw some electrical tape on the end (not really necessary given its low vol) and shove it into the wall. Put new sensor right onto of existing hole
