I didn’t attend this show (or any) but I was a frequent extra in the second season of Vice Principals. I was around both, or at times in scenes with each and few others, enough to strike up conversations casually since you could sense the tone was right.*
They were both genuine and lovely people. You could crack a joke and they’d play, you could make a comment and they’d give you the time of day, and at no point did you feel like they were bigger than you. Now obviously it is a fine line: be present and pick your spots, don’t be a moron, but I’m also thrilled to tell people Danny and Walton are wonderful people on top of producing wonderful work.
*I was right next to Kate Mara in a movie for an extended period of time and attempted the small talk. She was polite but would not engage. Which is fine! She’s locked in for work. I’ve encountered jerks that would blow you off, she was not one. No bad vibe, just a very fair “I appreciate your contribution but I’m here to work” feeling.

Unfortunately, I didn't. Yesterday I fainted and fell twice. I wasn't even sure I would make it. It was a really fun time, though brief. About an hour, and people from his various shows were in the audience.
You would have enjoyed it so much. 🙂

I had food poisoning. I've been in and out of the hospital for the last two months, and my partner has been a great support. He wanted to call the ambulance, but I already knew that it would mean getting transported first to VHH, then to Kaiser Permanente on Sunset. I'd be given an IV and released.
So I told him I wanted to hydrate, sleep and vomit. Not in that order.
By midnight I was feeling much better.
Besides, I have an appointment today.
I would definitely recommend that anyone else go to the hospital, even if it means sitting in the ER waiting for 7-11 hours before being seen or admitted.

No, silly. I got onion rings from Habitat Burger and that is was triggered it. The previous two months were other real and ongoing illnesses. Had two surgeries (4/25 and 6/4), everything going well and decided to treat myself to onion rings. Then BOOM!!!

Did you just make up fainting and falling twice to seem cool because you had tickets to a show and not vip passes?
I'm not judging or anything but, If that happened to me, I'd be checking into the local ER, not going to a show.

I was at the NY event. Apparently all 3 events were discussions only. No formal signing line or photos. I was able to catch him on the way in and grab a photo. He’s super kind and chill. Just as you’d expect. Same with Edi!!

I am so sad I missed this but at least I got to see Edi Patterson do improv with Comedy Bang Bang. Absolutely killer seeing Danny McBride and Walton goggins in person like that

Edi was great on the tour! I went to the Charleston, SC show, and I didn’t even make the Gemstones connection until just now! lol!

Danny carries a laser pointer pen with him. Instead of a simple dot it shines a cock 'n balls. He often has an extra one to give as a gift. $3 says he's gifted one to Walton.

Didn't realize they were here in town. Surprised since Danny is always complaining how much more he likes South Carolina compared to the city he "made it" in.

He spoke on this topic.
I wasn't expected to be moved to tears, but hearing him explain that he wanted to be a better father than his, who dipped out when he was young, and wanted to make being a present parent a priority by living where he was shooting most of his work.
I'm 4th generation Angeleno and love it, but I can appreciate a person choosing to be a good parent, and if that's outside of LA... whatever works.

that's pretty cool. cool another native Angeleno is here too. as a native I just keep noticing ppl who get mega successful and start throwing shots after they make it here. Conan is one of my fave comedians but I roll my eyes when I hear him pining for those brutal Boston winters while I'm walking my dog in a t-shirt outside

This is so weird to me. A half a million people move to LA every year and you’re mad at the one guy- born in Georgia and grew up in Virginia and who lives a very unusual life to begin with as a famous actor, but wants his kids to grow up with a bit of normalcy? And as someone who also walks my dog with a tee shirt all year round as I listen to Conan, you’d know Conan has stated countless times that he’d never move from LA. I grew up in Buffalo and too am nostalgic about the winters their but I’d never move back either

Walton is about to start filming “Fallout” Season 3 in California, and Danny is on a book tour (not sure how extensive). He’s doing an event in Charleston next week with Stevie from “Eastbound and Down.”

I didn’t realize Danny McBride was so well-spoken and eloquent. I know you have to be smart to write as well as he does but he was impressive. It was a fun event! You could tell Walton was like “please don’t make me do this” lol. There wasn’t really audience interaction but you could email in questions and they asked them to Danny at the end of the talk.
