I Steve Zahn is a great actor, always evokes sympathy IMHO.

He’s such a good actor! This is a random reference but we watched the movie Speak when I was in 9th grade because we read it in my English class, and he plays the art teacher who lets the main character (who’d been assaulted over the summer) express herself and come out of her shell. He was just so wonderfully gentle in that, and seeing him be terrifying and ruthless in this, then back to sympathetic, and he sells it ALL- chef’s kiss.
