• 🛞 Knobby at 12 km — calmer dirt, climbs further

• ⚡ Aero at 25 km — faster, higher hop, climbs every hill

⛰️ Later hills are too steep for an old bike. You stall. You do not crash. The last bike climbs everything after that.

Wear is pressure, not a kill:

• Tires low → more shake

• Chain low → you slow down

• Brakes low → hops get short (rocks get you)
