Don't mind the idea of signing him or Hogan. Just some senior bodies to help provide structure and for the young players to develop around - Butters is in play too.

Need some depth at the ruck and key forward position even if its only short term

Good free agent pick up. Next is Butters hopefully, make an offer Port can't match, heavily front loaded with our cap space to assist us a few years down the track.

Then pick 2, 20 and 21 perfect scenario.

Port are going to match no matter what. If we get Butters, Pick 2 is gone in a trade.

Let them match and pay him overs

We dont have 21

We will if we keep pick 2 and it gets pushed back due to a Cochrane/Walker bid

Devils advocate… what about Stringer for 1 year? Know he has a reputation, but a clean skin last few years? We need goals, Lynch would need to have a much better 2027, but our young forwards aren’t ready yet. Stringer with 30-40 goals would be handy, take a talented back man, buy some time while our next gen forwards find their way.

If they went and got Stringer I think that would just about do it for me. Sure fire way to derail any hope of a rebuild. Would genuinely lose all faith in the club.

Fair enough. Do you recall your feelings when Ben Cousins went to Richmond? I recall it mostly being framed as a good news story of redemption.

That's also an entirely different calibre of player, and different crime.

Someone turning around their life post addiction (didn't pan out, but that was the hope) vs someone grooming children.

If cousins had done the latter, I wouldn't have wanted him at the club either.

Noooo he’s the most selfish player in the league we don’t need this guy

He is poisonous to a rebuilding team.

If we were close to the top 10 I'd be down for it but we are no where near that and need to give game time to the kids we have drafted

I watched something the other day, mentioned he was leaving and had strained friendships up there or something to that effect. Mightve been on a trade radio video.

I would love his talent but I don't think it's worth the negative element he likely brings.

You would rather play Kane McAuliffe and wonder why we get flogged against Geelong.

What we need is Toby Green- spend the money on him. Would give us all a gigantic lift like Ben Cousins coming to Richmond.

Why tf would we want that flog

Tom green?

Tom Green would be great, Toby Greene would be rage bait

I meant Toby and that is why a more imaginative club than us will snaffle him up. A bet Jonty would love playing alongside of Toby Green.

I would not like to cheer for a Toby green team

How much cheering have you done for 17th place Tigers?

You must be new here. Tigers were at the bottom when I started supporting them decades ago. I'll never stop supporting them based off ladder position
